Packet Loss

Packet loss has become a rather nasty problem since the last patch. After logging on, I need to wait a few seconds to see if I'm stable or not. If I'm not, my packet loss shoots up to 95%. It can take several relogs to get this to stop, and my current group seems plagued by it. It can take us quite a bit of time to get everyone on without packetloss. Once we're all on, we're fine until we start changing zones for whatever reasons.

I have a pretty big beef with this too. Tonight it took me upwards of ten tries to get a stable connection. If there is something I can do to combat this situation, I'd like to know.

I've noticed whenever anyone in your group goes LD, it makes the others lag horribly. In zones such as Catacombs it can be very costly if the lag takes longer than usual. Also, it doesn't just seem to lag your group, but it lags others in the same zone you are in as well.

Since the last patch, we haven't needed someone to go LD before it happens. In this case it can be detected the moment you log on, although the packet loss doesn't show up for a few moments (we found that if we invited the person when the immediately logged on, and they don't get the invite we can tell if they are bugged or not before the actual packet loss showed up).

Edit: This was happening in Eldenals only. I haven't tested it in other zones yet.

I think this happened to me too. I was in DN and all of a sudden my laggometer went of the charts all red and all the numbers where flying around. I just stood there hoping it would go away but it didn't of course...so i had to restart my computer, My charmed pet had killed me, end of story. Oh well. Jus thought i would let you guys know your not the only ones ;)
