Old Spell Effect - possible?

Hey, I'm wondering if there is a way to get old school spell effect graphics? New school making me lag, thanks.

The new ones are actually less memory intensive than the old ones, but if you search here I'm fairly sure its posted how to do it before.

It has been posted before and basically just involves deleting the new graphics files.

They may be more memory intensive, but damn I noticed a great deal less video lag with old graphics for some reason

Hey, thanks for the help. I did a switch for opacity but only found one link redirecting to a fix, but that link was down. Can any1 redirect to the correct link? Thanks

OK i gigured it out now how to get CLASSIC SPELLS

Just get rid of these files in your EverQuest Folder as following.

SpellEffects Folder - gequip5.s3d - global6_chr.s3d - spellsnew.edd - spellsnew.eff

Put those files into a backup folder also the spelleffects folder so nothing of above listed is inside EverQuest folder.

And there you go old spell graphic back!!!

Those files were fairly scattered. The newspell ones were in the SpellEffects folder but the gequip and global were in the main EQ folder. I ran a search and moves all four of those into a separate folder and all works perfectly!
