As a Necro, will I be able to go on both sides of newport or just the south side? Does evil or neutral alignment make any difference? Thanks!
 
Parts of newport all around will likely hate you. Avoid the paladins guild in north and the clerics guild in south, and any monks, clerics, or paladins in either. Also you could be KOS to the Cage Mistress in the arena, so invis around her if you're coming out of the sewers from that direction.

This leaves you with plenty of room to safely walk around the rest of the city. But the sewers are better IMO.
