Newport Rogue guild faction

It seems that for the longest time I haven't been able to hail my guild leader and actually have to like me. I'm not sure why, but he won't give me any quests (yes, even if I sneak and am indifferent behind him). I was hoping of doing the Hood quests and just have people tell me the first few steps in order to gain faction, but he won't take the first item. Yes, I did the hand in while sneaking from behind and indifferent.

So, I'd like to know if there is any other way that people know of to raise Newport guild faction.

You can no longer hand in quest items while sneaking is the reason. This was changed about a week ago.

Yes, I thought I read something about that or was told about it. Anyhow, I just posted that information because I /ooc'd about it today and everyone told me to sneak and if it was successful, then it will work. I told them it didn't. I was just saving others time!
