Newport Nec quest ideas

Due to a possible internet disconnect I'm not going to put an application in for quest dev however here are a few general necromancer centered quest ideas for newport.

1. Like in grobb collect bone chips get a little money and a little faction.

2. Collect mummy bandages and get a tunic or something, not that good but better than cloth, one or two poitns in int here. Again along with the tunic get a little faction increase.

3. Beetle eye turnin fill in four boxes(since beetles are plentiful) and you get a little +1 ac mask that has infravision as an attribute(deadeye?)

I'd like there to be a point to increasing faction with the entrophy cultists but since I know suggesting an amulet or ring that teleports to the sewers is kinda dumb when newport's got a port amulet. I dunno, maybe something only those races/classes that're KoS to newport would be able to use? In any event being able to earn it would have to be just as hard as the newport amulet would be since, even with the lowered target audiance, everyone would want to have one if it were simpler to come by.

Also why not have a necro quest that shows exactly why newport citizenry will not do business with them.

Another idea would be something aken to a murder mystery. This isn't necro specific mind you but it would get faction wit hnewport citezens. Basicly a kid wandered down to the sewers, got axed, and you, upon finding the remains, ahve to bring whats left back for the grieving family. straightforward except for the dogs/ratmen/ect that're tearing bits of him up for dinner. little gold, little faction(i'd say the family would be very willign to pay someone to find their child, faction increase wouldn't be that much since he was found dead). I wonder...hmm, there a way for a quest to have more than one outcome that completes the quest? Say if the kid dies you have to bring something of his back as proof, if you're able to save him you get a bigger faction increase? *shrug* just a thought

Last time a necro came out the sewers with the remains of my little children, I slashed him twice. Except for that part that doesn't convince me, I always welcome new quests, and these seem balanced :) (Except maybe for the deadeye mask: a newbie quest that counters human's biggest disadvantadge may not be right).

I'm sure this can be done just by treating the remains and the NPC being alivef as two different quests.

After the NPC has arrived to a safe, preset location, he gives you prove (or flags you) that he's alive. If not, mobs spawn with remains (and they depop after some time, to prevent wanderer's to find them).

Finally, the quest starter gives reward based on what you turn in.

Well that was just a suggested item. It'd have ot be a lengthy and involved quest(the last in a series perhaps, also depending on your faction raiting with the cultists. have to be ally before it'd open). to balance out the fact you get a permenent spell effect thats actually pretty usefull.

This sounds alot like a quest on live in Qeynos that results in some newbie INT earrings or something like that.

True, however i wanted there something as a stepping stone along the way that's usefull but nowhere near AS usefull, either having maybe a +1 to int or no special stats aside from infravision, and even that would be difficult to come by. For me this is irrelevent since any such item along those lines would be meaningless to me since i have the shadowsight spell and its stats would be too weak for me to bother with(by the way infravision is good, but nowhere NEAR as good as ultravision....).

As for the murder quest, well...I'd only used a week long demo of live back when it was just eq with no expansions so I wouldn't have known of that quest.
