Newport 3rd Ring

I am having issues with this quest. I spent a long time trying to get the Weapon and Armor Cache and finally did. So I go to the docks and put the 3 items in the trade with Captain Thalas and I hit trade... Nothing happens, so I hit trade again, and again. I then noticed my lag bar going up.. So crap this sucks, I go LD but then find it was the server that went down because it said "Locked" (This was on the 2nd near the morning EST)


I went to sleep because I had been up all night and I wake up and get on and guess what, my Armor and Weapon Cache, Crate of Counter Agent Vials and Crate of Meat Rations are gone and not in my inventory. I don't have the letter I am suppose to once I turn in all 3 so I zoned over to North Newport to see if the Sergeant guy talks to me.. When I zone all of a sudden the 3 crates reappear in my inventory.. Odd, so I zone back and run to the docks and try to hand them in to the Captain but every time now he just hands them right back to me.

Maybe you have to ask an admin to check if you are right flagged.

I had a flag bug with Ring III by myself, maybe the same happened to you while turning in after the Server went down.

I'm having a problem with the 3rd ring, also. I did the 2nd ring, got all the stuff for the 3rd, and turned it in to Captain Thalas. I got the letter and went to turn in to Sergeant Halsey... Well, he won't talk to me or take the letter. Then I noticed that I have only the Scout's Insignia and not the Corporal's Insignia. I did complete the 2nd Ring Quest, and the guards all address me as Corporal, so I'm not sure how I don't have the Corporal's Insignia. Anyone else had this problem?

Lilyn. You have to give the Insigna ring to halsey to get the upgrade.

I shouldn't even HAVE the scout's insignia anymore, because I turned it in to get the corporal's. Apparently I just got the scout's one back when I did the turn in for the 2nd quest.

Halsey will no longer talk to me and gives back anything I try to give him.

Thalas will speak with me about the third ring. He will give me full instructions, including a letter to the alchemist and another food bag. However, he returns the three crates to me.

I took a LONG time to finally get a weapons crate as well, but there were no server mishaps during my turn in.

(It was me... it's always me... You got to give the herb filled crate back to the alchemist... doh... thanks!)
