newb mage quests

I just was wondering if anyone knew where, there was some cool newbie quests for ok armour, im not looking for great stuff, but some stuff i can do from the levels of 16 to 24. Im not looking for great stuff, but stuff with some int on them. Kinda like the belt quest in newport for warrirors.

I think the arcane staff quest might be the caster specific quest in Newport. You can always collect silk drops (not spider silks...these are called silk rolls or something) and the ancient armor molds and take them to Wyvernfang Coast. That will get you some caster armor.

They drop in various locations all over the world. I've personally found a lot in Shrouded Island.
