I feel for you...
It took me a few weeks to weasle through the eqemu forum to realize what's going on. The latest version of the eqemu server software that most games are using isn't compatable with the files you have downloaded from eqlive.
I would tell you to wait for the latest installment of the server package like everyone else. However, this site looks like it's using a homespun version of an even earlier release and may not updating as soon as the new server package is released.
Note: Most people have a similar situation to myself. I've got a dog slow connection and it takes two days to download from eqlive. So, in such an event that I would loose my hard drive, I've backed up my eq files religously for the last year. Find your copy of last December's backup (or before) and overwrite the existing files. That will solve your problem. I haven't tried this, but you may be able to run the game as it is installed right from the box without any updates from eqlive. Maybe someone would have time to check that out.

There was a link to what the exact names of the files where in the EQEMU forum. However, that message may have been aced due to legalities. We'd hate to see Winter's Roar get into trouble for posting them here. Safest bet is to restore from your previous backup if you made one before the udpate.
