New racial abilities

i surprised to see this go in finally! i thougth it would be another year before completed. good work everyone who worked on this.

also quick question: the dark elf melee and spell crit chance at night, are the increases overcap style or normal (as in if i have max crit strike from gear does the night bonus effect me)

-30% Detrimental Mana Effects

What does this mean? Is it a double negative?
 
i think it means that mana drain effects are 30% less effective against erudites but not 100% sure
 
What constitutes a forest (for wood elves), anywhere with a tree that is outdoors? Or does like UT count with its 1-2 trees? Also, is this zone wide, or only a radius around the "forest" that wood elves get benefits?
 
do movement speed buffs stack with the woodelf bonus? does innate runspeed stack with it?
 
I would consider Mistwoods a forest, but I didnt get a message that i attune to it, wood elf ranger udeni
 
I noticed when I was playing a gnome that they get a message along the lines of "Your Gnomish senses attune to the low light" when zonign into an indoor aree. Are dwarves supposed to get such a message, for indoors and being drunk, because I don't see it.

I got the message in some trees near the north edge of the zone in East Badlands. Thought it was pretty funny, since the trees are kind of spaced out, and it never struck me as a forest before.

IMO the reason there is a billion iksars is (was) because they get a little edge over the other races with the extra ac, and the price they have to pay, you can work off (just have to do more exp, and takes a bit longer to master skills).

So when you have won SoD, your char will not be lagging the 40 more AC that all the other Iksars who won SoD has.


Oh also alot of Necromancers chose Iksar because of the Regen. I guess some Shaman's might have too /shrug. For my shm i picked Iksar because it was the only non huge race, that was not a frog.
 
underground / indoors / forested are By Zone that is to say they start when you zone into a flagged zone and last throughout.... underwater happens when you are underwater regardless of zone.
