Hello i'm thinking of getting a new pc but after reading a couple threads with problems with my desired setup without either solutions or people that did get it fixt. I wonder if anyone has anything of the following and still have SoD working:

a Quad core processor.
2 graphic cards in a SLI setup. (geforce 8800 pref)
Windows vista 64 bits.

If you have any of this and have sod working normally in any kind of solution please reply so i know if this would ever work.

GeForce card present. Minor graphic glitches, can be avoided with scrolling out. I assume quad core handles game similar to dual core which I use, minor glitches, can be fixed via scrolling and/or sitting (after following the threads issuing it).
 
i play on my dual core laptop and haven't had any glitches so far... the 8800 series cards i have heard cause graphics problems as well. i was also building a new comp and was thinking about a core 2 duo extreme, and SLI ready cards, but maybe a different series as to not conflict with SoD. Vista 64x bit is great, especially if you decide to get a lot of ram (mine in mind supports 8gb ram with 64x bit lol) but i assume 64x bit XP would be just as good, and you don't have to deal with the approvals and running as administrator BS heh. getting new games to work on my comp used to be a nightmare (giving modify permissions to game folders to get game updates, giving shortcuts admin rights, etc.. lol) but now its like second nature =P
when i make my comp i think i'm gonna partition and have both XP and Vista, best way to do it. might even throw on a few other OS's for good measure =D
