I'm not sure if the earth terror has been killed before, but today was my first time killing it for sure. I was awarded some sleeves called 'Feculent Covered Sleeves'. I request that this item be given a different slot. There are already several sleeve choices at the high end, but I still haven't seen a good variety (really only 1) of shoulder items from any of high end encounters.

Examples of High end Sleeves:
Feculent Covered Sleeves
sleeves of unavailing
seductress sleeves

Examples of high end shoulders:
shawl of flowing currents

I'm not counting combine armor here because combine exists for all armor slots.

If it isn't going to be changed that's fine. I think it was just an oversight in item distribution for there to be so many more sleeves than shoulders at the high end. If I'm wrong, let me know.

just for the record, arbiter has some nice shoulders, and i *think* there are some mc6 shoulders in cod as well, pretty sure awardis had them, correct me if i'm wrong.
 
The arm slot is pretty much overloaded at the higher end. Shoulders probably are, too. Item designers, just like quest designers, et al. can't and don't know everything about every aspect of the game, and this happens sometimes.
 
This isn't hard data or anything but I went on fomelo and looked up several (8-10) raiding int casters and looked at their shoulder gear. If they had a piece of raid gear, then it was shawl of flowing currents. afaik thrice damned shawl is from cmal, so it doesn't count.

Arbiter shoulders are CLR DRU SHM only.

I agree that there are too many int caster arms in the end game. The three you listed are more or less the same statwise + an effect, and combine is pretty close as well. I would also agree that changing this slot is the best move to take. :eek:
