New, and thinking Druid

I have read many posts and wanted a few more questions answered

Guilds- are there many of them because i like to solo but also like to group and guild up if possible

Race- what race is best for druid?

Stats- what should i work on as a druid

Race doesn't matter much, but if you are into min/maxing, halfling would probably provide the best base wisdom for druid. Make sure to put some points into CHA, wisdom is pretty easy to max even before raid gear. STA and AGI if you are afraid of getting hit also.

Of all the casters I've played, druids always SEEMED to have the worst resist rates at low level. Because of this, dump EVERYTHING you can into CHA, and spec focus/mind asap. You will not regret these decisions.

dont listen to zak, hes lying. you should dump all your resources into pies. pies make druids happy and happy druids nuke better....among other things

druid spells are only sold in surefall glade; and yes, when you right click a spell, it should tell what class can use them.

1- yes there is a few guilds around, for all gaming time.

2- race does not matter

3 - I would advise you to put your points into charisma , druid have mainly heals and nuke/dots. Your mana pool for heal depends on Wisdom and the more charisma you have , less chance to have your nukes being resisted by mobs.

Wisdom is pretty easy to raise with gear, also each class have 2 good quests for different levels. Starfall quest and Thurgadin quest. The first one can be done in your early 30 , the second one will be later, around 55 or 60 if this is your first character. Both gives good items for their levels so I would strongly advise you to do them.

Another good source of information is shard of Dalaya Wikipedia

http://wiki.shardsofdalaya.com/index.php/Main_Page

On the right at wiki homepage, you will see a character section with details about all classes you can play, that includes all the spells for casters, including druid of course and what they can do .

Druids can solo well and are very good for group since their heals are good, also when you will do treasure map later on, not only you will heal your group but also will port them all around .

Dalaya's beginners is looking for mages!
Seriously, until you have heard every question like 5 times over, it's a good place to learn the game.

At lvl 20 I am not sure. A bit over 30, there's shrouded island upper floors. It's not easy though.

i love looking at the same question 5 times 1 min apart :p

That happens indeed. However, there are very very few guilds that take lower levels AND have enough people online to make it interesting. Also DB is where the GMs and Admins are, so if you have specific question, there are more chances it'll be answered there.

If you find a suiting guild, all the better, but finding it might be harder or more annoying than staying in DB.

Wise choice on the Mage.
You have a way to go with the leveling before you should start worrying about all that stuff.
Don't get all hung up on gear and plat.
Get in groups every chance you can, that's where a mage does their best work.
Adepts will also teach you some stratagies you should know for raiding.
Enjoy the lower levels, they are really very fun.
More advise, find a friendly Cleric or Druid to hang out with, or roll yourself up one to box with your mage.
As for the Guild question, all in good time. You will find a guild, so don't worry.
Grouping will introduce you to a lot of people with guild connections. Keep networking with players and when you are in your 50's or 60's you will probably have several contacts in guilds that you can choose from.

ok i know i am going to sound like a flip flop but i rolled a druid and i am enjoying it so much atm

We were all altaholics at one point or other I would think, assuming we didn't find 'our' class on our first try.. I for one didn't find my class till my 20th character or so.

Druid was my first character, but hes mostly become a port / buff / heal bot :p

A druid/mage combo can be quite powerful :) It was my first combination as well. Druid has always been my main passion and they mix quite well with almost any damage dealing class, caster or hybrid alike.

But yeah, i hope you took the advise here and dumped all your points in CHA! Wis items come so easy, but CHA is what matters!

It's alright, only really starts to actually shine once you get to the very high end though. It's somewhat problematic before then. Clerics are a bit superior in terms of a box with a mage. Hots and fast groupheals let you pull more things at once. Pacify is also win.

Really focus a boxed class on what you're lacking in. Mage you are not lacking in dps, but healing. You're also lacking in a way to split, and breathing room which stuns provide. Rooting is a bit less effective than a druid, but still faaaar superior to a mage. They tank about the same, provided you can keep aggro on the cleric (I've found 3pulls to be quite good, once one's mage has enough gear to be able to tank, though raintanking takes a bit of practice and is a bit risky)

yeah my mage is 29 and my druid is 39

i have fishing up to 230 in 32 hours

i wanted to get fishing up so i have a way of making money for gear
