so what about ancient rarity against the rarity of a 63 or 64 spell? whereas most people i know and group with have their ancient spells. but are lacking lots of 63-64 spells.
lets talk about spell lines
magician's ancients are burnout and mod rod
burnout lvls are lvl 12, 29, 49, 55, and 60 (which is 15% more haste than the 55 spell). this could be replaced, but at 80%, its a great spell
mod rod lvls are 44 and 60 (which gives everyone within range of the pbaoe a rod). choice, one rod at a time or one cast and everyone has one
wizards ancients are harvest and destruction of ice
harvest lvls are 34 and 60 (which gives roughly around 700 more mana to have the ancient) ~1000 mana usually about 1/4th a normal wizards mana pool.
ice dd's are lvl 1, 24, 34, 39, 49, 57, and two at 60 (which saves the wizard 70 mana to have the ancient), and is further replaced by the archaic spell at 65.
enchanter's ancients are guardian of jayla and cloak of the unseen.
pet lvls are 1, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 29, 34, 39, 44, 49, 55, and 60. weee it has more hp's!
invis lvls are 4 and 60 (fixed duration invis im pretty sure) fickle random duration v 7.5 set duration
now, necro ancients are pet buff and lifetap
pet buff lvls are 12, 24, 39, 55, and 60 (10% more haste than the 55 spell) 75% haste is great
lifetap lvls are 1, 4, 8, 12, 20, 29, 39, 49, 54, 59, and two at 60 (which saves the necro 35 mana adds 130 damage, and reduces the time by .9 seconds to have the ancient). still want an upgrade 61+ =P
when talking about not wanting an ancient being replaced by a higher lvl spell, most of the 61+ wizard DD's are drastically better than the ancient spell. when looking at the spell lines, think about the less spells there are in the line, the better the upgrade, whereas the more spells there are in a line, the smaller of an upgrade.
