Necromancer Problems...

alrighty, im a lvl 26 necro and here is my problem. never any groups, and dont know where to solo best. personally i like static camps. not haveing to run around looking for mobs. if anyone knows where to solo without pet dyeing a bunch, runnin OOM alot please let me know...PLEASE! lol

How do Bloodblade footpads in West Badlands con to you?
They're northeast of druid port in at 2 houses.. Somewhat between the druid port and Ebl bridge zoneline.

If they're too easy I'd try Yaralith, throne room (west of the map, first door left after you cross the "garden".)

After that Kaladim would probably be nice because mobs in there are undead.

At least that's my experience with SK (even though she probably had better gear than you).

Good luck!

think in my 26 is a good level to find groups in FR or start them. i have a 42 necro and 30 rog and recently went back to FR to create groups to get my rog to 30 and it wasnt that hard.

My Necro is currently level 53. I soloed pretty much from 29 on. Until you get 29 and really 34 Necro cant solo nearly as well as they can after 29. Once you hit 34 its easy street with your new dots, (Venom of the Snake is a huge DoT). I suggest grouping in First Ruin or Yaralith perhaps until atleast 29 and then it gets much much better for soloing.
Hope this helps. :)

Edit: Also when soloing its always good to kite and not just have the pet tank. Use the /pet taunt off command and pull with a snare, load up 2 or 3 dots THEN send the pet it. The pet should not draw agro from you from this point in. You can spam Clinging Darkness on the mob to generate a good amount of agro for yourself just to be sure the pet wont gain it, Screaming Terror is good for this too when you get it. Because Fear is not really an option here on SoD agro kiting is a must for a soloing necro.

If you wish to have a tanking pet, play a beastlord or a magician. Your necromancer pet will get weaker and weaker compared to the NPCs you fight. Your ability to heal your pet decreases as you level up.
But if you wish to play a necromancer, try kiting. Start with outside, non-casting mobs and increase the difficulty as they become easy.

My first SoD toon was a necro and I did the undead frogloks at night in Meilich for nice steady XP. Don't remember when they greened but it took awhile. Then moved to Kaladim zone in and got to 32. Then wiped it because I just couldnt stand being an Iksar.

I'm going to jump in on this thread. I am curious what other necros recommendations are from level 14 and past. I see what is written for 26+ but I'm curious about before that also. I played a necro on live and I too love good statics spawns. I'm up for anything seeing as I've been fighting in miel only lately.

Also, any recommendations on mobs to look for to get good necro drops?

Any class can do well in the Erimal zones. FR for the low-mid 20's, Shrouded isle can cover from 10 to 45 if you want it too. Warrnes are good in the low teens to mid 20's.

<y Favorite part of the world, just needs a portal.

alrighty, i went to North badlands and hunted Young Griffons fer a bit. aside from their massive dmg output, they are rather easy to kill..so long as you dont aggro other Young or even worse, aggro the daddy A Griffon. went to FR and got a grp there fer a few levels, then grps seemed to get sparse. went to Yaralith, got PWNED b/c of the temple spawn loacations...they spawn too close to one another for decent soloing. ill repost with other locations as i try them out. those are the only ones i have been able to hit before all this down time the server has been seeing.

the liodreth warders outside of Paw are level ~25, easy singlable, kitable pulls

been a while since i played but thats where i soloed on my necro around that level. I also looked for any young griffons i could on my way over there since their feathers and claws sells really good for that level (5p and 7p or something to that effect)

Be extremenly cautious of any "corrupted" creatures wandering the area around the spires, whether centaur or kargyxx they hit like a train! Always con any nearby wandering mob from a distance.

The liodreth are nice and easy xp, and their paw and heads are for a xp/faction quest at the bridge in North Badlands.
