is the necromancer Spell: Feign Death with bug?

i use him and does not matter how much time i stay dead, the monster always come back to attack me.
 
Feign Death works like this:

Static Mob (Mob doesn't move where it spawns) - Mob will always come back to you when you stand until it gets back to where it spawned.

Pather Mob (Mob moves from where it spawns) - Mob will lose agro after 60 seconds of staying FD.
 
Roamer agro remains for 90 seconds while FD. Not 60.

Also, if you FD close enough to a static mob when you get up you will be in agro range and thus he will always agro you. Pretty simple, but you never know...
 
100% sure it's 60, regardless of what the wiki says.

FD at 14:32:53 stood at 14:33:54, no agro 61 seconds. NDHK Roamer.
FD at 14:37:41 stood at 14:38:42, no agro 61 seconds. Szithri Horror in The Murk

Its generally 60s. Ive heard people say you have to wait 90s for x specific mob(s), but IDK if they are actually different or that person is just being extra cautions
 
Certain mobs are shorter than others. It has to do with the length of their path. If their path is only 30 seconds long you should only have to wait 30 seconds or less. My understanding is that you have to wait for the mob to path back over its spawn point. I haven't done any real testing with this, though.

This is how it was "back in my day". I am not sure if it still works the same way, but you have to have the mob 'reset' back to its spawnpoint to lose aggro.
 
It's true. I can't think of any mobs that have a path that takes less than 60 seconds outside of towns though.
 
That wiki page was never fully trustworthy imo. I've never edited it, and the only changes to it since the move from the old wiki (2008) have been to remove signatures from nearly every line (since you aren't supposed to sign anything in the main namespace), explain how Assistance Penalties happen if you FD during combat, and an additional note was added that you can't bandage while FD'd.

If anyone sees anything else in there that they feel is unclear/incorrect, please speak up. The wiki page is overdue for a clean up.

Edit: The page "Feign Death - monk pulling tactics" is referenced in that article, and likewise needs a good scrubbing. The 90 second thing was pulled from that source for instance. Again, an old page from the old wiki. Author now-unknown and the only change since 2008 has been to add a category to the page. This isn't something that should exist on its own - it should be integrated into the main article.

Yeah. But even that also has to be done before you hit FD or it wont work. So either use the AA or kill it, and then FD. And if you like you can make a macro that does it for you.
 
1. low level pet pull. - Don't know if it still works.
2. mez split - summoning mobs
3. root split - undamaged summoning mobs will still occasionally summon. so i mez
4. pacify splits - usually with mez and only for undead with necros.
5. charm split - undead and with mez. you would need a hot key
that called the alt activate for fd, recall minion and a /cm pet hold.
also, a charm break will pretty much aggro whole rooms. >.< lol

A monk should really chime in on the rest since they would have more experience with tagging and timing.
