Necro Relics

no offense, but two of the necro relics are kinda cheating the necro's out of a good relic spot. according to http://wr.camongrel.de/Class:Necromancer , the relics Hand of Kaezule and Spirit of Kaezule spells are just upgrades to our lvl 57 Vexing Spirit and Vexing Mordinia spells. one is a pet heal over time dot on target mob (spirit) and the other is a self only heal over time dot on target mob (hand) the pet heal is almost useless, as most necro's snare kite with pet nipping at the mobs behind rather then let pet tank, or in groups the pet rarely gets hit.

why use this spell when a necro could use Zefeer's Thieft of Vitae and heal the entire group and pet for slightly less damage and slightly more mana? could instead the two relics be combined into one for an upgrade to Zefeers and possibly add in a relic lifetap?

I must say I agree, the relics kind of cheat necro's out in that instant.

Dont take this as a complaint on the necro class, it's a very versitile and fun class to play. I just dont see myself ever really trying to get those two relics, and I just want another carrot at the end of the stick. ;P

Hand is 1440 for 520 mana.

Zefveer is 1080 for 605 mana.

Slightly less for slightly more mana? Okay.

what i was saying trying to say but put into pretty worthless of a paragraph was that while zefeers is more mana and less healing, it heals more life over time than hand. zefeers hits the entire group and pet, and if it was even possible to stack both relics together on a mob to heal yourself and your pet, the utility of the two spells combined is really less than Zefeers. hunting in places with aoe's or rampages like in DHK, this helps the group who might have gotten hit by an aoe and the pets in ramp range or taking aoe damage.

now in a soloing perspective, i dont see much gain from either relic. when i solo, i do it with a full spell bar, Funeral Pyre, Caress of Sivyana, Zefeers, Embedding Darkness, Fetter, Boundless fright, ancient:Lifebane, and harmshield *i have the necro aa FD so i dont have to have the spell up, otherwise replace harmshield with FD*. really i see this as the only safe necro solo setup. when fighting mobs that hit for 100+, our puny pet just gets pummeled and cant stand up to mobs like a mage pet can. i essentially just dont have the spell slots avaliable to simply add in two single target buffs and decide in the middle of combat if i want to heal myself (in a solo situation with arch lich or MoD on) or heal my pet, when i can just use one spell gem to do both. if the mob turns on my pet while snare kiting, and rips him a new one, its nice to back him off the mob while running back healing both myself losing hitpoints due to lich, and my pet regaining the hitpoints he just lost.

yes, zefeers doesnt give back as much life as hand does to the player, but doing math of just myself and my pet would be 2x1080 for 2160 life back, and with a full group with my pet as the only pet, under optimal circumstances, that would be 7x1080 for 7560 life back over time without focus for only 605 mana, so why spend 520 mana for just healing yourself or your pet 1440 life back when you can be a team player with 605 mana for 2160 or 7560 or even more life back with more pets?

again i would just like some feedback about this and a good honest look at the utility of the spell compared to zefeers for necros on par with getting this spell.
