Necro Pets

Would be awesome to be able change my pet into something without having to beg or box a druid or an enchanter to do it for me.

All I am interested in really is changing the appearance, not give it new abilities.

The spectre is especially annoying because of its size and it's noises. And it's female! So, when I do get it illusioned by an enchanter, my pet with it's perfectly masculine name is a girl. Are all higher level pets this way? I remember having some male zombie and mummy pets at earlier levels, but the spectres are apparently the oppositie sex of the caster.

Have done some checking and I think all higher level pet spells are this way. The pet is the opposite sex of its master. I guess this isn't a bad thing, except it would be nice to have a choice when you pick a name.

I'm not asking for anything free. I'm willing to pay or work for it.

Give me an AA to change him. I know you can't add AAs (I think I read that) The Soulbond AA comes to mind. What Necro really uses that?
A /cm command would work for me. /cm pet zombie /cm pet skeleton /cm pet gnome would even make me happy. Maybe a combination of the two? You have to buy soulbond as a necro to get use of the /cm command

Or, A new Ikisith tome would work. I'd glady work a tome for the ability to change my pet into something not so annoying as the spectre. I remember that there was discussion of this before ikisith opened, has that been scrapped?

maybe even the Silver status donator illusion item could be changed to work on pets. I dunno.

A vendor item at the Necro trainer that I could buy and give to my pet to change it would even work for me. And might be a decent plat sink as well. Different items at different prices according to coolness would even be better!

Examples...

Companion Snack of the wee, Turns pet into a gnome and costs 25pp
Companion Snack of nature, Turns pet into a woodelf and costs 25pp
Companion Snack of Snow, Turns pet into a barbarian and costs 25pp
Companion Snack of Dark, Turns pet into a darkelf and costs 25pp
Companion Snack of Confusion, Turns pet into a Halfling and costs 25pp
Companion snack of Earth, Turns pet into a earth Elemental and costs 40pp
Companion snack of Fire, Turns pet into a fire Elemental and costs 40pp
Companion snack of Spirit, Turns pet into a Spirit wolf and costs 40pp
Companion snack of Bones, Turns pet into a skeleton and costs 40pp

The list could go on and on.

Spectres aren't female, they're neuter (gender 2). Since there is no neuter gender for player race models, the gender value get lowered to the nearest applicable one, gender 1 (female). Elementals are also neuter, so they are the same. Skeletons too. And most NPC races without gender differentiation. Enchanter pets are an exception since the 'invisible man' model uses gender 0 (male) by default. And so on.

I stand corrected. Guess I should have done more checking. The female thing is a bother but minor though compared to being stuck with big ole Spectre breath unless I can raid. Which, I can, but very limited.

Do a bunch of Elds and change it to a wood elf.

Sadly, I did a bunch of Simple maps in my 50s and passed on rolling for ring of the stout 3 or 4 times. I've kicked myself several times since.

Yeah, ring of the stout is really really handy occasionally. Mostly for getting one's self out of the few areas where you can get stuck in the world. There are some buyable illusion clickies however, there is also a dark elf ring.

I was SHOCKED when I found out Mrfantastic was a girl!

This AA is really good to have, SB DMF in waterzones is good to have, also being able to sb say.. a resistpot on yourself is always useful.

droppable gear / items with pet illusion spells on them would be kinda cool, meanwhile just buy / get some sort of targetable illusion-clicky item that works on pets as well as players and use that...

As a reminder, AA's that multiple classes get are shared between said classes. If you changed SB for a necro, it'd change SB for everyone.

come on lets make it a pet-illusion clicky instead.... Cleric hammer needs some love :(, sb raego is crappy :p

Soulbound lich on any fight where the mob dispells is one of the most clutch things ever and not having it would gimp necros. No thanks.

Really? I thought they were all No Drop. Can you name a few? I would love to be able to illusion my BST pet.

Uh theres 2 masks I know of. I'm not sure of the names offhand tbh. One is taldorian and the other is froglok.

Guise of the tormented I think? and maybe Guise of the scorned?
