Named Worm - Deepshade

Melodico

Dalayan Elder
After exploring this zone quite a bit, I wonder if anyone has been able to activate the named worm on the "hard" side?

Having killed all of the larvae, nothing happens. Handing the mob various related items, nada. Surely the mob is there for something, I just can't figure out what.

Is it involved in a quest? Do all the worms in zone have to be down to activate? IDK, but the zone is interesting, and this random, untrackable creature boggles me.

Not asking for strats, simply if anyone has actually killed the mob.
(To clarify, not the one in pits, the one on OF side)

killed it multiple times. it works just fine, but it's not a guaranteed activation from killing the worms.

Interesting timing on this post. We were also down in Deepshade trying to figure this thing out just yesterday. Killed all the worms, poked it in the eye, gave it some junk, nada.

I think if this guy is up you're supposed to be able to kill him. I know he bugs out on the z-axis sometimes and I also think splitting the tiny guys may cause him to not engage.

she is 'not up' sometimes it is an interesting if confusing mechanic but that's what it is... sometimes she is visible but not engageable.

Sorta!

Yes "triggerable" but not "engageable" every time she is up, this is mostly accurate.

20 separate times I've cleared this far and specifically diverted south from overfiend to "attempt" to try this duder.

I made sure that it's wasn't a z-axis bug because of the model's hgue size in a small space, and tons of spamming Taunt resulted in nothing, and when hit with the only castable detrimental spell that defies walls i know of i was told the mob was protected, not out of my los. So it's not triggering, and killen all the larvae's 2 times over and even the overfiend / worms in the pit in middle of zone does nothing. I thought those were left field ideas, but, alas they didn't help.

Rule of thumb, if a mob is WAY too LARGE for it's intended size, it's Woldaff, which is why many models bug out. If you take the time you can find the maximum and minimum size for an intended model before putting in to production. Many of the small models cannot go past twice it's normal size or it will break on the Z axis. I tested this a lot when trying to make 200+ models all global.

it's pretty random then! and with the repop rate in this zone that might not be that great!

That cinnamon thing is just a joke because Woldaff likes Cinnabon.

I don't think I ever had this not aggro while I was pulling so maybe that means clear really fast and impatiently. Try poor impulse control, it has worked for me!

What worm are you talking about Fuwok?

Shai'Hulud, the Worm Mother?

Cause i'm fairly positive that's what we're talking about, and it perplexes me that it has "aggrod" everytime you pull.

Yep that one. I don't know, take me I'm good luck.

I just round up all the baby worms and kill them and then it starts to unleash earthquakes or whatever other shit it does.
