Murk Shield...

Char: Thanatosis.
Faction with Gruplok: Ally.
Key quests Completed: 60 [Curiouser and curiouser], 61 [Gertud's Favor] (i have the Blowgun to prove it).

Problem:
When i hail Gertund the Trapper he doesnt give me the Murk Shield. I have hailed him in both Phrophets landings and in The Murk, he doest care. I have even hailed him both places he stops in The Murk.


I petitioned and was told to post here, so here i am, please help.

try typing out the text to the quest instead of waiting for the option from hailing him. should be able to find the exact wording on the wiki. i had a similar issue and that worked for me.
 
Ok just to list what i have done.

I told him in 4 locations (PL and the two stops he makes in Murk, and while he is walking in Murk):
I am honored to call myself an ally to the Gruploks.

He doesnt respond.
When i said "tailoring" he responded, and gave me that quest.

Someone also suggested that i try hailing Grithrai the Headman, he doesnt respond to me either.

I also tried completing some more faction quests, that didnt change anything either.
 
So long ago forgotten what is what but you have to have completed all the trapping quests including the assassination as I understand it have you done that?

I tried to solo him, but i had destroyed the trapping device thingy, cause i thought that killing him one time was enough, so he just healed and healed, and he did a little more damage than my Mend could keep up with heheh...
