More Rogue Traps!

Would be cool for a variety of traps instead of the two that are in now(one of which is very, very nice). Would make great use out of the skill.
 
traps have a lot of potential, i could see a wide variety of traps being put in the game.

examples:

DoT trap
Root trap(will make pulling interesting as well as aid in pvp)
and probably more.

edit: maybe let traps be equipable in ammo slot or range slot(or both) and give stats and have some drop from raid bosses.
the best trap right now is like a semi weak backstab once every 5 minutes. theres plenty of room for upgrades for higher tier players.
 
Bringing this back up. Ive been doing some brainstorming.

Ideas:

Gather Traps: Ponden sneaks into Mielech's Lair, disarms a trap, and salvages it -- pocketing it for a later use!
*Not the same spell as that would be unbalancing, Just like for like -- Disarming a Dot trap would give a dot trap, disarming a multiple mob spawn trap would give a swarm pet trap.

Poisoned Traps: Ponden successfully sets a trap and applies a few drops of poison from his blade onto his trap.
*The active poison buff on your character will be added to the trap's spell effect.
 
The traps framework was added with more traps in mind, but we've been so caught up in other stuff (tomes, new server, the recent wave of new content, etc) that we haven't been able to get the devs (including me :O ) up to speed on just how to go about it. Rest assured, though, that there will be more traps.
