More High End Droppable Items

Anyone else notice that there is NOT alot of high end droppable items. Making some high end items droppable would be good for the economy imo.As it is right now i have 15k sitting in the bank that i have been saving for almost 2 years, clearly saving up for a 39k charm would be daft
I would love to be wheeling and dealing in high end gear, like quest gems for tov armor (Marvelous,Exquisite Gems),Droppable high end weapons would be nice too,i have about 20 decent weapons sitting in the bank rotting because i cant give them away or sell them(No drop). Please make
some more high end gear droppable, anyone else feel this way? If not lemme know why.

Dari :finger:

that's just silly, Dari. If raid loots were drop people would twink to high heaven, it wouldn't be fun. I for one don't like the idea that I could be using the same armor, wep, whatever, as uber_twink_ranger_03. Makes me feel less uber ;(

High end droppables are being worked in. Ornate stuff will NOT be droppable, however.

Thanks Wiz, nothing worth of value..imo, is getting traded/sold in /auction

WTS ripped black cloak 10pp....500 times a day

Just because high end stuff can be tradeable, doesn't mean there won't be a level limit to prevent twinkage :)

Example. Any weapons or armor that can't be used unless you are level 50, or higher. Makes sense?

Eventually you get flooded with items though. If all of Dari's (20) no drop decent ratio weapons were tradeable, thats alot of weapons traded around the server. I have a bundle of items myself that rott in the bank and Im sure anyone 60+ that raided regularly does as well. Even with level limits, people would get items much sooner then they could have raided X mob for it.

I think there are plenty of tradeable items though. Quicksilver gloves (36% haste), Frost king's hunting bow, staff of unyielding, wild strike baton -- just to name a few. All the top quality tradeable raid items are kept in guild banks though. :finger:

I don't really think the problem is the lack of items, more the fact that people don't sell their high end items because they don't think they can buy high end items for that money.

Someone has to give the economy a kickstart.

Also, the bunker guild mentality doesn't help either.

Thats all true. I never sell anything anymore after I bought my 6k backstab charm. Theres nothing to buy that would help me. I just bank it or give it to friends/twinks.

Yeah, the main issue with making high-end droppable loot is that it will funnel down to the lowbies, and then it will start snowballing. ;p

Tradeskills are helping with the economy; especially as some decent 50's/60's items start existing, then the economy will slowly start.

The main thing the economy has to overcome is a good money-sink for higher-ups. Charms do a good part in dealing with that, although once you buy your 5k charm, you're probably done.

I liked #buyaa, although that's a bit silly. ;p

I believe that putting in some sort of amusement or decoration purpose set of items (like UO had houses, although NO HOUSES FOR WR) would give higher-people something to spend and save for. Like, armor and stuff that looks good (like noble robes and stuff, just use some of the cooler skins), and stuff that looks really shiny.

My two cents.
