More bane weapons ect

From leveling from 1 to 65 i noticed there very few weapons with bane damage in the game. mainly the silver weapons with bane to undead. what i am suggesting is perhaps make some questable bane weapons for certain area like orc bane weapons or even the old Gnoll bane weapon from live would be fun =)

this is just an idea flame and support at your own will.

Yea would be really awesome for some Bane Giant or Dragon Faction Bound Augs. Cool idea.

I like the idea too, but the thought of a rogue or ranger with +damage to anything is scary
 
I dont think it would be too hard to make bane damage not factor in during a backstab, but who knows

lets not talk about bane dmg + backstab, instead lets all agree that the game could use more bane dmg
 
haha yeah the increased ranger and rogue dps would have others complain some but if they quested for it they should deserve the benefits of it. Im not syaing the aug or weapon should have like +10 bane damage or anything that would be insane but 1 or 2 would interest me.

this is an idea perhaps. When you turn in weapons for faction bound version to either Rymaz or Empress Pernelia perhaps they could add a small bane factor to it of sorts.
 
You could make the augs class based, especially if they're questable, and just have the rogues augs be secondary only (and if they put the aug into a weapon that is primary/secondary, it renders the weapon secondary only.)

Weren't there spells in Live that were very effective against (and limited to affecting) either Dragons or Giants during the Velious Era? Maybe I'm thinking of something else...

Either way something like that might work for Casters.
 
I dont see any reason to give something to the casters just because the melees get something. Focus effects dont help warriors, monks, or rogues in the slightest, and certain classes already have bane type spells.

not necessarily true, as damage increment would help with damage procs, etc.

Like Jose said, Dmg Inc is nice for procs. Not to mention there are plenty of benefits for War/Mnk/Rog that wouldn't be very useful for pure casters or priests (well I guess priests benefit :rolleyes: ), like haste, crit strike, atk effects, etc. Bane weapons aren't necessary to counteract Focus Effects or something like that, it would just be neat and potentially another reason to stick with certain factions.
 
Perhaps for classes with banes a kind of bane enhancement % for a relevant faction? Like a +1 to spelldmg against %R kind of thing. Not sure if this would even be possible. Just a thought.
