Maps are clientside, so feel free to add labels to them all you wish.
Eh.. 2 reasons not to. 1, it would mean force loading models into the MOP that are not there, such as shadow dwarves. 2, the MOP is a place of wild magic.. nothing really lives there for its own safety. This same reason (wild magic) is why the NPC portals should remain "portal" and not "portal to erudin" or whatever. They exist, but no one knows what force controls them. We dont question why they work, just know that they do, and we traverse the mansion at our own risk.Or even a portal wizard of an appropriate race would help.

Could we add the town names to the portals inside the mop? this would help a lot, thx
Well... maybe he means something like rename the NPC from "Portal" to "Sadri Malath Portal" or something? That'd actually be nice.

Honestly, is it that hard to open your map tool and add a label?
I can think of like 50 things that I'd rather the devs spend time on than changing the names of the portal models in MoP. They are all clearly labeled on the map that comes with the map pack (available on the wiki) with the exception of King's Pass. Learn how to use the cartography tools and be more self sufficient.
