can a high lvl monk tell me his specialization setup and what not, cause im confused

so far at lvl 10 i got 80 b/s and 20b/avoid

what do you think abt that?

im currently not using any weps either do you recommend this or what?

High level monks will have everything maxed. setup is *=100%
Low level monks do best, accoring to most people here, with no weapons.

According to who? At low levels monk fist damage sucks and its easy to find better weapons.
* Level 6: 7/30
* Level 15: 8/30
There is a 14/40 weapon that drops in blackburrow, easily better than fists at 10. You can also buy player made ulaks that are decent.

high-end raiding monks will do better with weapons like 2hb or h2h/1hb.. entry level 60-65 monks will do better with bare fists.. up to mid 50's you can always find better weapons to buy though

that's 7/30 per fist. Since Monks have dual wield at level 1, 7/30 * 2 > 14/40 times one. Add to this, you recieve several stances that are 1hb or h2h only, so going h2h is the best option imo. 13/18 final damage, with natural monk haste + haste items + bard song + enchanter haste. You'll be capped on haste for sure and chewing mobs up like a piranha.

What are you even talking about?

sunstaff 10/21 is also better then fists for a while(50 dual wield skill is laughable). 2hb at low lvls ftw

I'd start with blunt/avoidance. What's been said concerning blade/strike is pretty much true, you're better off just getting some blunt weapons than relying on fists for almost all of your levels. Regardless of whether you do need to rely on fists, you'll often need to be a capable puller/tank as well. I found myself being the tank in more groups than not while leveling 1-65, I also realized that a dead tank or puller slows down the exp more than lack of a 10% bonus to my damage output from spec being capped would. For pulling and backup tanking, my specialization focuses on defense rather than offense.

Hope that helps.
