Monk Weapons around level 50?

What's a good choice for monk weapons around level 50? I'm currently using ghostmetal knuckles and my fists (with the starfall gloves for +2 dmg).

I'm open to h2h, 1hb, and 2hb.

I also am not a rich monk.
 
those ghostmetal knuckles have lifedraw proc? im a newbie monk here as well (long time EQ live monk but I just started less then a week ago) those knuckles appear nice. I was wondering how often they proc with your dex and how much is the proc?

Well how not rich exactly? The best i think for lvl 50 is Mruuk's Combat Boca (800-1000p maybe) and maybe Fanged fist of the Kedge (couple hundred)? But then again I haven't been 50 in over a year and I can barely remember last week.
 
At level 50 your fists are 12/24, as good as ghostmetal 1handers. Adding the +2 dmg from starfall you should drop the ghostmetal and use your fists dual wielding until you find weapons with better ratio (dly/dmg, the smaller the better) than your fists. Check the wiki.
You should probably invest in a haste item. Platinum Jacinth Earrings (10% haste) are player made and sold for ~300pp. The Cloak Of Blind Rage (25%) is sold for ~2kpp.

I'm still searching for a nice 2hb myself. At the moment using Truncheon Of Blight, and it's significantly less dmg than fists with starfall. Open for suggestions here.
 
It's hard to remember, but I think I used all ghost weapons on Sstecik (1hb, h2h, and 2hb) from lvl 30ish (they had just come out and I got them really cheap :)) up through tier 1 when nicer stuff started to drop. The proc is a 50hp tap and since they have 0.0 weight they are tailor-made (;)) for monks.

You start doing more dps with bare fists through the 50's but only from the delay dropping, your damage isn't going to significantly increase until you get replacements from raiding.
 
Well, at this point I probably have 100plat to my name. I just bought some cloak with +1 critical strike. Critical Hit = Instant Gratification. :dance:

I guess I should just look into a big 2hb for the times when the mob has a nasty damage shield, and I don't have someone to dispell it?

Does the haste from haste items stack? Usually, I have a ring of velocity.
 
For the monk with very limited means, bare fists are not at all bad. My BST had a very difficult time finding a weapon better than bare fists for a very long time.

I think I would recommend saving up for a good haste item.
