Monk Fists Damage Table

The fists themselvers were not nerfed, no.

The fist WRAPS off the monk GM from freeport were nerfed.

The numbers...

basically, they had a 20% chance to proc at level 65. That was an error by the items' creator. they were proccing like mad... sometimes 3 times a round...

250DD + stun... that was alot of DPS / aggro.

They were dropped to about an 8% chance to proc at level 65. They're still lots of DPS and aggro, just not nearly as much.
 
Just curious as to how accurate these numbers are. At 56, I switched to fists as they were the same as Cane of Champion and Staff of Darkness, but it still felt like I was doing more damage with the blunt weapons. Could be my imagination though, I really don't know.

Anyway, did you parse these? Or do you know them for sure?

These numbers are 100% accurate.
 
Check your attack with the weapons versus your attack with your fists. That could factor into your damage output.

Also, if you want to e-mail me before and after logs, I'd be willing to parse them for you.

Also, if you want me to log in, have you beat on me for 5 minutes with fists, and then 5 minutes with weapons, and parse that, let me know.
 
Haha, well, I'm past 56 now (56-58), so I can't compare that anymore. But thanks for the offer. I'll take your word for it. I can only assume it was some sort of placebo effect. My atk was exactly the same for both, fyi.

ok, This may be dumb. But does that mean that iksars dont get lvling exp slower, just skill exp slower?
So they lvl just as fast as everyone else?
 
I played an Iksar monk on live to lvl 56, I had no problem with the xp penalty. I think they balanced human and iksar monks very well both here and on live. Iksar extra ac and extra regen make soloing with them imo better than humans, i was always around 50-100 ac higher than my human counterparts and fist speed didnt matter hardly at all because weapons were used from lvl 30ish up even when the economy wasnt so blown out of porportion. So i think the xp penalty is needed and one of the most well balanced things about this game.
 
Gwen: One thing people don't realize about WR Iksar vs EQL Iksar is that the xp penalty here affects AA xp.

That's pretty damn awesome, for me anyway. I wouldn't play an Iksar if you paid me.
 
Yea. On live, you could, as an iksar (20% penalty) put 10% into AA xp, and gain 90% of the xp a human would, as opposed to 80%...
 
If im not mistaken Humans get a 10% exp bonus. Where Iksars get a 5% Exp penalty. Human monks will level 15% faster then Iksar monks.
15% doesnt sound like too much, but in the time it took you to get to lvl 65 on a human you would only be lvl 59 or 60 on an iksar.(Roughly) By the time you got to 65 on an iksar you would be lvl 65 with about 10AAs on a human.(Roughly)

Im not 100% sure on all these numbers, but if im wrong its not by much. :D
 
lol. Reem... Considering you don't know how much xp is needed per level, your numbers have no base. at all. So don't state conjecture as almost fact. :)
