Monk Death Touch

Before you read this, I want to let everyone know that I have put great care and deliberation into this new skill for monks. It simply wasn't something that I thought up on the whim, while showering, or masturbating. Now, with that said, let's continue.

Basically, I think monks having a death touch skill from level one and onwards will be a great addition to the monk class, as well as the game in general. It will fit into the lore because monks are sexy (a trait that should be recognized as allowing monks to do anything they wish, yes, I have studied the facts here), not to mention they are the masters of hand to hand combat. Need I say more? Death touch. They find just that perfect area to slam as hard as they can, and wham, the mob is dead. So, we've filled out the logistics in terms of lore, and some history as to why monks should get this new skill. Now let's examine scientifically, and intellectually, how it will fit in with balance. I know some people are probably thinking a DT like skill is over powering. Wrong.

The death touch ability will have a recycle timer, much akin to that of their ugly cousins the Shadow Knight, and Paladin. Those two classes each have their own unique ability. But c'mon, they're crappy skills, for crappy classes. Moving on. However, unlike the Paladin or Shadow Knight, the Monk's timer will be relative to their own character, as well as their awesomeness. You can enforce said awesomeness by simply listening to, watching, or grouping with said Monk. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that Monks are so awesome, that they can decide their own timer. For instance, I'm so awesome that my timer would probably be every one minute. Others not so awesome perhaps would choose every minute and a half as their DT timer. But only if they're not as awesome as me. The minimal timer would be a minute, and a maximum would be two minutes. This is fair. After all, monks are undoubtly sexy.

So, through my hard and dedicated research to not only the Monk class, but all classes in the WR world, I have come to the conclusion that the DT ability be bestowed upon Monks of all races and classes (minus Iksars) so that class balance, and superiority, be enstilled into the game. I hope you can take this suggestion to heart Wiz, and I fully feel that this new skill will be implemented come next patch.

Thanks again,

Ramblo.

What? Monks are overpowered? When did this happen? Man that's so not like EQ Live...I mean on E....oh wait. No it's the same. :)

That was nice sarcasm Ramblo...at least...I sure hope that was sarcasm.

This wasn't sarcasm. I truly studied Winters Roar indepthly, and have come to the firm and decisive decision that action is required to rectify the Monkly maniacal situation. Listen to me, pwwwweeeease.

Latest patch notes:

- Monks now have a self-only innate Death Touch ability with a 12 second refresh timer. To compensate for this, monk avoidance bonuses have been removed and their avoidance has been cut - well hell, in fact, monks will no longer avoid ANYTHING except summoned throwing daggers. Sometimes. During a full moon. If the Goddess wills it.

Awesome, thanks bro. I knew after you studied the game a little more you'd find out what was needed. :)
