Mining & Blacksmithing

I made a dummy dwarf today to check out the racial trait of +50 for dwarves. This isn't a skill I was born with in the dream
and the trainer couldn't teach it to me. Where do you go about learning the skill and how does it work? :eng101: n00b
 
As i've said in your other thread, the +50 mining isn't really in the game. I have a dwarf miner at 250 and I started at 1 and I can tell you there is no visible bonus beyond the 250 and I didn't start mining the second tier ore until 50. So there is no bonus and no hidden bonus to mining as a dwarf. I have yet to hear back from the Admins about it.
 
Okok :eek: I heard it was a "new ability" so I had to check it out for myself. If it doesn't exist, then why the hell is it listed as a dwarven ability? They should have just automatically given us +50 to smithing. So I guess making a dwarf paladin I really did get screwed since we only have 1 benifit compaired to all other classes which get 2 or more. Lovely :mad:
 
It's listed because it should be in but isn't yet. And giving you a smithing bonus is lawl (considering tradeskills result in exp).

Dwarves still make the best, stat wise, paladins. Don't worry. Any other racial bonus is just that -- a bonus. Elven mind isn't an innate 20% chance to resist fear or charm: it's a 20% bonus to your chance, resulting in something like a 12% chance to resist vs every non-elf's 10%. Whee!

Anyway, don't get hung up on racial bonuses.

It charm immunity according to the Tome of Knowledge. And if it involves certain WW dragons that is invaluable.
