Mielech

I read it's 10 - 40. Anyone with some hands on experience think it'd be a good zone for a 25 Monk, 26 Cleric, and 21 Druid to hunt in? I'm looking for a zone that'll give good exp., and don't so much care about loot.

Thoughts?

Everything I have, I have fought for and gotten it. Mainly soft leather armour and a tempered brass knuckle. I'm hardcore.

Thanks, I'm heading there right now to do some hunting later tonight. Appreciate the first hand knowledge.

Hey, soft leather is a good base for a monk.

I wore soft leather and skulkers from bancak until like 30 when I got CS quest armor... and then 40 when I got wyvernhide.

Weapons give better returns for a monk anyway - especially with a cleric and druid behind him.

Also note that your fists are alot better on WR than they were on live. Link to the stats here:

I can't vouch for the new Mielechs zones. Haven't been in them yet. Tell me how it goes... either Janseth or Anadin in game. You won't see me on for a while yet, but I'll be back soon. lol.

If you have any monkly or shamanly questions, send me a PM, I'm glad to share my boundless :)roll:) wisdom.

Thanks man. Right now I have a tempered brass knuckle (14/42) and this other thing that's 9/27 with 2 fire damage. So it's only a bit better than fists, but enough for me to use them for now, until something better comes along.

We just fought some other the harder stuff in Halls of Mielech. Mages were about level 29, and the lesser stuff dark blue at 25. Probably level 22-23'ish.

Anyway, it went well, other than the respawn rate is intensly fast. I'm not sure if that's a feature for the zone itself, or a glitch, but compared to CC, or BB, it was like half the time. I was just pulling and pulling and pulling, on a rotation of about 10 mobs. Not sure of normal spawn rates, I'm thinking about 8 minutes. Definitely was much shorter than that, 5 minutes maybe.

Lots and lots of chain mail. The crap just wouldn't stop dropping... which is sad considering none of us could wear it. :)

Hmm, not much else to say. Definitely a place for group action. You can't make it far in or else you get repops and such. Not a fun thought. Also a large amount of clerics that like to root and stun. Big nuisance.

So far that, the experience was great, and I can't wait to get a few more people down there. A group of six would be amazing, if you could put it together. Start at level 24'ish, stay in the ladder down room (ladder goes down from the easier green stuff that doesn't aggro) and just pull from there. Once you're all 28, move on to the magician room.

This post brought to you by boredom and crazy ramblings. :)

Makes me wish I was low level again... dying to try these zones.

Yeah, being low level and earning your own equipment is fun. I haven't done that in years, so it's a nice change. Also, this world is completely different and fun to explore. I'm fighting in zones that I've never fought in before and it's a totally new experience.

Now I just need to go home so I can actually play again.

i tried soloing zone in at around level 15 or so. light blue casters totally destroyed me though. =/ and it's nigh impossible to get a group together at this level.

Last night I spent about two to three hours, maybe more, just soloing down in Halls of Mielech. It was fun, but also risky. If not for FD, I'd have died numerous times, and made the whole ordeal not worth it.

Anyway, I managed to get two levels before the stuff started to go light blue for about 50 - 60 % of the stuff.

On this note though, I'm hunting in EW as a druid at the moment. and it's going alright. But I'm just not gaining levels as quickly as I'd like. Any thoughts or suggestions as to where to go? I want a place that will take me to 30 without having to move around.

Can't tell what level you are, but it seems your probally level 25ish. I would say give first ruins a try now, it might be a tad too difficult, but it's possible, and those entrance rats get pretty easy fast for good xp.

I say first ruins because of the drops, they drop some alchemal items, some black steel armor, and gems of all shapes and colours for selling, as well as food and water :)

First Ruins should be perfect then, especially if you DC. A full group killing those rats is awesome xp, and also you can duo there as well. Once the rats are too easy you just head in a little further to the undead. There is also a named rat that drops the odd item it's name is Skytara (something like that) and it's at the top of the stairs where two rats guard the front of. He's not that difficult for a group, and even your duo might be possible.

Hope this information helps you :)

How do I get to Velious or whatever it is called now. I looked at the zone connection map and it looks like I would have to pass through Bancak Mines. I can't make it far in that zone at 25ish. Is there another way?

Tried invis? That will work, not sure what class you are, but you can invis through. I don't know what Vellious is, never played live so I can't help ya there =/

Velious is The North here, the place with the shadow dorfs, frost giants, and dragons everywhere. You can get there by taking the translocator if you can't run through Bancak.

Velious is the eq continent name of The North. I am a 27 Bestlord so I don't have invis just yet.
