Memspellset

Hello, I would like to request that when a hybird/caster decides to load a different spellset, that the currently loaded spells are unmemmed automatically to allow the memming of new spellset.

For instance, my shaman has 2 spellsets (right now) one for buffs, and one for attack. If i have attack loaded, i currently have to unmem each spell individually before im am able to load my buff spellset.

Thanks,

Leeb

I do not know if its possible, but this thread is like the epitome of laziness

is it that hard to right click the spells you want to drop?

Dunno about using a whole spell bar to buff either, I just swap out one or two of the spells to buff/rebuff overtime.

I can however agree that it would be nice in some instances (lol lower level shamans) where you have a group of buff hungry baboons who demand every possible buff on them and then the buffs last like 30 minutes at best. Re memming all of those can be somewhat tedious.

Right click the spell book at the bottom of your spell bar and you can save, load or delete spell sets from there.

The point I think he is trying to convey is if you have:
Heal spell in slot 1 of your normal spell set and Str buff in slot 1 of your buff set; you have to remove heal for it to mem strength and so forth.

Pretty sure it also will stop if you only want it to mem for say the last 2 spell gems but you have some conflicting spell.

Tbh I think you should just not have a whole set of spells for buffs and not be lazy.

I thought it wasn't possible or one of those :tinfoil: mysteries :tinfoil: since it has been this way since forever. Live unmemmed them upon implementation of the spellset feature.

In my case at least it has more to do with convenience then laziness. I have a low level shammy and i mainly solo due to rl demands, so i usually am self buffing all at once which means all buffs usually wear off around the same time. I jist figured why not take advantage of the whole spellset feature being that part of it does work with SoD.

Imho it would just be a nice lil fix for those casters who switch spells regularly depending on the situation they are in. Maybe your hunting where mobs resist poison based spells and you want to switch to diseased based or vice versa. Maybe a necro want to aggro kite instead of fear kite and want to switch their spells accordingly.

Fixing the memspellset feature wont effect how any of those who choose to "not be lazy" mem their spells here and there, but i know there are some of us out there would like the memspellset to work fully.

The same can go for rebuffs on raids, really. I agree that a lot of it is laziness, but for those of us using a laptop the stupid mouse can get really annoying as well.

I have spellsets for soloing, raids, pboaeing, and very specific encounters. I never switch all 8 spells at once.

If I were in your shoes I would break down the buffing spellset into atleast 2, keeping canni, a root, a heal, and a dot and such up ALWAYS under every set. Make like your first...or last...4-5 spells buffs and call it spellset Buff 1. If you need more buffs use the same slots and name it Buff 2. This way you wont be caught with your pants around your ankles while buffing and yay you cant heal/root/anything.

Fun fact: When you are holding something on your cursor and loading a spell set, it doesn't mem any spells.

It would be AWESOME if it could be made to de-mem all spells when loading a set.

Generally i keep essential spells mem at all times (heal/root/gate/canni/fd depending on char) just would like to be able to change other 4 or 5 spells by loading another spellset that automatically unmems and remems those spells

The feature he asks for will allow for faster swapping of spells, its not laziness.

Imagine Socials weren't in the game, and someone asked for it; well basically to copycat your attitude i would tell them to just type /sit /pet attack /whatever_you_get_the_point.

I I'm so tired of hippies crediting good feature requests, to laziness!

You can't open that with your hands full!
You can start memming them, as in mem the first one, then pick something up and the spell set will finish and you will have 1 spell memmed!

Or you can quick do it all in between and continue memorizing your spells. Warning: requires fps reflexes
