Melee distance

Thanks for this, however I won't get much time to use it, life has really delt me a bad card and i've been having to work almost non-stop recently, so not really any time to do much else but work and sleep.

Hopefully soon enough i'll be able to actually play sometime. :sadf:

Hitting mobs when they run away should be improved now. It isn't a hitbox issue, the hitbox is the same size as the client's.
Unfortunately tonight it seemed that it had gotten worse. Before I was able to hit the mob a few times running behind it. But tonight, unless I was directly on top of the mob or at least ahead of the mob in front, I received the continuous 'too far away' or 'you don't see your target' spam.

HT is semi-ranged, and by semi-ranged is, its got a short range.. like.. throwing a cinder block.. as a 12 yr old,.

The name should give you a clue.

Harm TOUCH.

im going to run a few tests today, but seriously. this is same as live?

not that it should be, but the statement about it not being a hit box issue, makes me think its as that.

maybe i just dont remember, but i didnt think i use to have to be inside a mob to hit it, and ive been playing trolls my whole eq/live WR career.

if not, my appologies, just lookin for a little clarifacation

Ok, this morning was my first chance to play. I don't think in my case it is a small hit box, where as it is the mob not registering that I am attacking. KOS mobs it isn't a problem, since they immediately agro me and I can work on trying to hit them. But non-KOS mobs is a royal pain to get agro since at level 1 most of my swings are whiffs. I realize my skills suck and I shouldn't be hitting to often, but something to make the mob agro me when I am whiffing would be nice. I can't really afford any kind of ranged item yet, so I can't use that to get agro. Maybe changing the mobs so those initial misses actually count as getting agro.

I know this isn't exactly related to the hit box, but it sure does seem like the hit box is very small when I am trying to agro a non-KOS newbie mob.

What really gets me is when your right up next to the mob you want to attack and you start your attack, but instead of seeing combat spam you see "You are too far away!" WTF! I'm standing right next to them... And after a few seconds they turn around, oblivious to your presence and walk away. Not blink away like a momentary bit of lag and they reappear a distance away...

Not to mention when the mob is in this 'non-targetable' mode, my pet can't even see them... The only way to get their attention is to hit it with a DoT, nuke, or whatever, then my pet see's it and I can attack it...

That isn't a small hit box, if that's happening the mob is under the world or similar.

I was trying to hit running mobs in centaur hills last night... it seems to be worse than it was before if that's possible. the last 10% of each mob (while it was running) would take me longer than the first 90% on each kill.

Not really much of a problem for me as a ranger as I can shoot it while it runs or nuke it to death but when I do try and actually hit it with melee it seems to be a matter of luck to hit the mob.

To me it actually feels a bit better now but not quite where it should be, still have to be almost in front of the mob to hit it from 'behind'. :)

Havent experienced this really as I rarely melee when a mob is running (or at all, even), but now I know why no rogues/warriors/monks ever want to take part in my kite groups :sadf:
