Make pets not disappear on invis

On live there was "Suspended Minion" for Mages and when you hit it it would basically pocket your pet allowing you to go around Invis and whatnot and it retained it's buffs and such. I'd assume it was replaced with Recall Minion here and that it wouldn't be put back in.

But making it so if you went invis your pet didn't poof would be great. Would make it so that when a bard hit Travel song all the pets didn't poof.

Many bards died to my wrath because they just hit that song. Anyways, while I'd like something like this it's not really necessary IMO - more like some convenience thingy.

This change would make playing a bard no longer fun.

This isn't the first time it's been brought up.

I always argued that since bard song invis came with see invis, the pet shouldn't disappear because he can clearly still see his master.

Never went in though, which is a shame because I'm 90% sure the reason the hubby stopped playing his necro was because I constantly killed his pet.

Pets are meant to be killed.

I would be greatly saddened if I couldn't piss off Violnis whenever I wanted just by popping an invis/ivu on him!

I am against the idea of pets not poofing when invis.

1. it would unbalance pvp even more than it already is
2. pet classes are already miles ahead of most non pet classes when it comes to solo-ability. Theres no reason to make it even easier for these classes to be able to farm named mobs.

1. PVP petclasses other than necro pretty much suck. Because of huuuuuuuge problems in the way PVP is set up, that doesn't include this.
2. Extremely inconsequential. Absolutely anything I can take down solo, as a pet class, is just as easy to get to either sans invis, or using invis and summoning a pet in a safe area.

Which is why he probably posted it in the first place, it was what seemed like a relatively minor tweak that a lot of pet classes would absolutely love.

Simply have it break the pet owner's invis when he gives a /pet attack command.

I do however believe that this type of convenience (invising with a pet up) should be earned and that the old Suspended Minion system should replace what is currently available and just like the old AA you would need the 2nd rank in order for your pet to keep his current buffs and equipment.Simply making the pet not poof when you are invis'd and making invis break upon /pet attack might be simpler however, I don't personally know.

have the pet rooted/locked in place where the owner was invised
and have it stay there till use a summon companion type spell that only works with out of combat

It was already discussed indeed and iirc it is hardcoded. Otherwise what Allie suggested would have been implemented long ago, it's common sense.
Same thing with SK/necro pets, they shouldn't depop when owner is invised ; and normal pets wouldn't depop with IVU.

IMO add this to the thread of things that can't happen. I'd be glad if I was told I'm wrong though.
