Magician's as solo class

It used to be 2 dmg more iirc. Like 30/32 with level 63 pets. No clue about now.

Oh, and despite bitching about mage role on raids, they're really cool in groups <3

I had thought it was a little less than that, but its been a while since i paid attention to a waterpet crit. Like somewhere around 56ish on a crit?

My Main is a lvl 55 Mage, Savantar. I have found that soloing has been quite easy. I use fire pet mostly as dps kicks a whole lot of a$$ plus rain make for short fights. I have not tried Bst lord but I understand they are quite good aswell. I solo'd pritty much 100% to 55 and still see myself going hire as a soloer. You just have to find the right zones where you don't get a lot of 3's or more. Can solo 2 Db easy but more than that you risk pulling agro from one and mage's don't take dmg very well at all. I don't play for long periods and am interupted often at home so I wanted a class I could prity much solo with right through and not have to group. I wanted to see how fast I could lvl at 52 and went to 55 ata a rate of 1 lvl an hour which is pritty fast imo. I have no doubt that soloing will get harder in the 60's but I will still try and find a way to get to 65 as pure solo.

That's really cool Mavrick - thanks for the insight.

Ya, sorry if that was off-topic, but I found it helpful = )

(Does anyone else remember slime pets, or am I going crazy again?)

Stop derailing any thread about mages with "mages are worthless" or I will start banning you from the forums (you know who you are).
totally understand this, but i think that the overall ability of a mage is kinda pertinent to their ability to solo. I do think that its lame and unproductive to simply say "lol mages suck", but I really don't think the reason mages end up having difficulty soloing isn't because of the way the class is set up. As a class, they're set up really really well for some types of soloing.
