I was wondering if it was possible to look into removeing the recast time on the Magician's pet heal spells.
I don't believe any other class has such a limitation on the spell line, and while the forte for magi isnt healing: it does provide some aggrivation when the pet is engaged with multiple mobs. This can happen when both soloing and grouping, as the healers usually are focused on the tanks and swapping to a pet who happens to be used to offtank some adds from a non-plate class until they can be 'gathered' by the tanks can be disasterious for a party that is 'cutting it close'. Allowing the magician to chain heal their pet offers the opportunity to also fight mobs that might be highly resistant to their spell lines (fire and magic). *I'm not sure if these mobs even exist.. I'm currently only level 12 and haven't seen any like that. But there were some on live.*
Many might see this as allowing magicians the ability to fight mobs too powerful for them to fight now, but this method has a high drawback. The drawback for magicians for not haveing this recast time is a simple one of mana and dps. While you are healing, you are not nukeing or meding. You are simply reduceing the amount of mana you have to cast damage spells with. This would allow some stronger pet tanking/offtanking opportunities, so that a magician can focus on their pet's abilities, at the possible expense of a longer fight time due to the loss of dps. Pets are not the best tanks, nor are they the brightest ones: but this might allow a magician more usefulness out of their pet in areas of high agro mobs or non-single pulling situations.
Thanks for your time.
