Losing items at death

I died last night and because of my horrible problems with reconnecting after zoning or dying I decided to just call it a night. Then today when I logged in all my items were gone. I checked the Wanelo and they still show up on that though. Is this the same as with losing items during a trade or if I log back in will my items suddenly be on me again?

If you relog, your items should return if they are still showing up on Wanelo.
