Anyways, It's saturday and narm needs a new tank. I spent my friday night waiting around for this raid, I'm not sitting on my ass for my saturday night. Good luck if you guys plan on doing it, but I won't be there.

Okey did him on saturday, 19 people some being boxes. First attempt we used superior healing, that went bad and only took it down to 80%. Second attempt we got him down to 30% with CH chain...almost killed it but saddly the heals got short and our tanks started to fall down so did the rest of the raid. Going to try again on Sunday, I really need people's support on this, we only had 2 monks and thast was all our melee DPS the rest where knights and they are not DPS. I think if we had 24 people, the people that came tonight plus some more DPS we would have won the fight 0 deaths. Asking for your support tomorrow, please plan ahead.
To Abel: Friend it makes me sad that you talk like that, I know you were on a group getting exp on Friday while I was sitting my butt in the cold swamps sending /ooc left and right to get people in the channel, if you sat and didnt do nothing it was your fault and you are not to blame me for it. I make a channel for that reason, If i dont get the numbers needed I just dont do the raid, because the moment i drag them down and nothing happebs i wasted their time and I'm not going to do like those guys who tryed to raid him and wiped baddly not even where the Adept was. We missed you on saturday if you were there we probably could have dome it, lend me your hand once again on Sunday please.
On this note, getting people for this raids is becoming a bit stressful if you dont have patience. They take long time to form because the lack of people for the appropiate raid lvl, maybe this can be fixed once they see what AWSOME loot this adept is going to drop or if they are more adepts his lvl. For now be patient untill i give the call.
Strategy for this adept that works:
1. have a top lvl tank, we did it the second attempt with a 52 monk well geared, but a 51 war/SK/Pal can do it
2. is good to have some lvl 65 help you clear the rooms to thsi adept, Thanks to Kolvaren's main for doing so for us this night. Clearing that room could even be difficult for lvl 65 players so dont try with your 52 and under raid, specially when one room has 4 lvl 50-51 wizzies with AoEs.
3. have at least 3 clerics and on a complete heal rotation for main tank.
4. the Adept quads for the high/low 300's mostly scored 200s on my SK, who had over 1120AC/3823 HP. Slow is a must once he is slowed he weakens alot and you can notice. This mob has a DoT, but noting significant, seems to be single target DoT. Has about 500k HP.
5. have that Enchanter tash at the beginning of the fight, and rez him when the battle is over. also Slows right after tash is a MUST this guy tears appart with his high damage and fast blows this mob will chew your tanks, thast why we had a monk tank it for more evasions.
6. Druids spot heals the MT all the way
7. shammys keep that thing slowed
8. He didn't had a rampage like Sludgebreath did, I think he still rampages but at 10% so it is god to have 2 Rampage Tanks.

Okey people this thread is for the adept raid discussion not to show off how twink you are, all that twinkage means nothing if you dont know how to play your class, and mainly thats what i look for in raids, people that know what the hell they are doing and stop asking me stupid questions. Thanks, keep this thread clean.
Okey lacking in numbers baddly for this raid, I really need people to comit to do this adept mainly what i need is clerics and lots of DPS i have the tanks and slower, and even a few clerics. /join narmraid and i will be looking there how many numbers we have, once i see we have a good amount of people on any day of the week we will do , dosent make any sense for me to be /ooc every 10 mins to get people in.
What happened on Tuesday, I'm going to take the blame, It was my fault. Apparently i was too tired or got too soft on raids due to spoils from previous raids. I will like to apologise to everyone who came to this raid and I'm going to fix it. It is my intention to educate people for raids so when they get high lvls this dosen't happen, and i failed. I'm going to get strict, but if I have to walk 20 lvl 45's-52 players by the hand and treat them like children, something I never had to do with lvl 15s-42 from previous adept raids, I will do it. And if I have to cancel a raid because you not liking someone and bitching to that person I will kick you out of the raid. And what is worse If kicking you out of the raid makes the raid short on people It will be your responsability explaining those people why the raid got cancelled, but I'm not wasting anyone's time like it happend last night, out of almost 40 adept raids I have lead this has been the VERY first time that I felt I wasted people's time, and I'm taking the hit this time, wont happen again.
New rules:

# Dont ask for buffs while the raid is moving, plain simple buffs are done before the encounter with the mob, I dont care if you dont have haste..or shrink or whatever buff, with the number of people we had/have killing trash mobs dosent require you to have all buffs possible that is just a waste of time. Movility buffs( invis/levi/shrink/growth/sow) are the onlyones that will be casted to go to point A to point B only when needed.
# At the same topic buffers when I call people to call their buffs it is YOUR responsability to give those people their buffs, and I'm not going to appoint buffers, you guys talk to each other and deal buffs, but they will get done and on time.
# NOONOE goes in front of the raid leader or the group leader, specially when pulling, you will cause agro and make the raid wipe...like it happened on Tuesday. Stay where the raid leader tells you to stay and don't follow the pullers.
# If we wipe, and we are doing rez YOU GODDAMN right take a no exp rez if thast what we have to offer to recover and finish clearing a room. In most raids YOU WILL NEVER get a exp rez untill the raid is over. And when you get rezzed at a safe spot you sit down and you med and get ready.
# You DON'T train the raid, specially if they are doing rezzes. Next person that trains a raid will get reported to a GM and possibly your guild leader, I'm sure the guild leader dosen't want trash like that in his guild. If you have mobs on you take dead and you will get rezzed when time permits. If you dont want to get reported tell me it was you don't let me find out from a GM who is watching or other raidmates who saw that you did it and i will simply kick you out of the raid and probably dont let you raid with me again.

If you can't follow orders, be team oriented, and kill the last 2 adepts as your goals and take something that possibly noone in the game has, something to be proud of then simple lvl up. I don't want you threatning me that you are going to lvl up, I dont care, I'm not stoping you, I'm not giving up on this Adept as many asked me to.

I am a total noob to this world but I am not a noob to EQ. If you have run a lot of raids then you know what you are doing but a couple points.
1) people HATE standing around waiting =) I personally wont. I made the decision long ago that I have more fun "doing" than sitting on my arse as a chair warmer.
2) You should get people to comit to a raid before hand. If you are counting on a pickup group to do a raid you will have a tough time and the more often you get people waiting to raid and dont actually go anywhere the harder it will be for you next time you try and get one rolling.
3) People should know their role and how to play on a raid. People wasting time with buffs or worse, dying due to stupidity should probably be removed from the raid. Over the extent of the raid they will cause wipeouts or demoralization that will cause the raid to fail.
I wish you luck on your proposed raids. Doing dragons isnt rocket science but you need good healers, good chanters and good DPS. trying to do it with no DPS (2 = no DPS need 4 or 5) is a waste. Get 2 good tanks, 4 good healers, 3-4 more good DPS and then a couple shammys and whatever else you can drudge up. You must be able to debuff or it's all over.

Word from Wiz is that he is going to fix the room, that way a raid of lvl 43s-52 can go in without having a lvl 65 killing the mobs. This is good news and will postpone the raid untill is done, this may help because now instead of sittig down in one spot while lvl 65s clear the room we can be active and use the time productively instead of picking on people in the raid.

Sorry Narm, but you're going to be one less SK now. I quit SoD and deleted my EQ directory. Shit happened with Venerate always taking the members of my guild and I didn't want to deal with it anymore.

sorry to hear that Gagluk, I will say this to you, take a break from SoD, but no need to delete. Saddly there is people in this game that dont have anything better to do that harras and mess up other people. Playing 6 years on live I seen that daily basis. What you should do is take a break, reinstall EQ so you can play SoD once you forget about what happened and ignore those people that bother you, you wil be amazed strong the power of ignoring people is, sometimes it pissed them off. Mainly play to have fun and ignore the rest.
About the raid: This weekend may be my last chance we may get for a while, and thast because I'm moving to another state and will take me some time to settle down, so I ask everyone that can come to this event to give it their best, and hopefully link some loot people been waiting to see. Thanks.

Sunday oct 23rd. The room has been fixed so we we moved in with littleto no problems, very easy. WE lacked on the CH chain clerics, and got it to 40% we really needed more 50-52 clerics and DPS, but everyone did GREAT and will like to thank you for coming, It was how a raid should be, everyone listened and followed their roles. Sent a message to wiz so he can look this guy up, since a raid maent for 18 people had a wipe with 26people, hopefully he will get back with me.

It's a shame so many who participated in the last two failed attempts chose to level instead of waiting for another opportunity, it would have been a cinch with them this time.
I was present at the last attempt (reason for failure looked like a CH chain timing issue to me) and have since dinged 51. I've got 100% into AA for now. Ggoing to get my initial 6 AAs and then go back to leveling until just before 53... then it's back to AAs so I don't miss out on this server first (not including any scheduling issues, of course).
