i just want to know if the login server is down because i cannot connect,i get 1001 error,i have read this forum whole and registered 2 acc,but i cant connect pls heeeelp ;(
I have a similar problem. I've followed the instructions, but I cannot login. When I attempt to do so it says that my login request is being added to the queue, but I can never advance past that point. Eventually, it kicks out a 1001 error. I've applied all the relevant fixes I could find in this forum, but no luck.
I've read through all these front page posts including the 1001 error message posts. I've read through the technical support forum and I cannot seem to find any other relevant information.
Anyone have some suggestions on how I can proceed? Thanks in advance.

I've uninstalled EQ completely, reinstalled from scratch and followed the startup guide to the letter. I still experience the same problem. I run the patcher without a problem, click Run, and EQ fires up. Then, I put in my username and password which it verifies and then says the login request has been added to the queue. After a couple minutes of sitting on that screen it kicks out an error box with a 1001 error for connectivity.
I've dropped all firewalls and even made myself a dmz host to work around any router or firewall issues. The behavior is identical. I simply cannot progress past the point of my initial login. I've followed the suggested solutions in posts listed in this forum for 1001 problems, but it persists.
I'd really like to check out the game, but this is preventing me from doing so. Is anyone able to offer some advice about this problem?

i'm having some trouble myself.. 1001 error, couldn't find any information on the forums that fixed my problems.. besides the changes I made to my eqhost.txt today (what foonie posted to do) there were no changes.. just when I tried to get on, 1001 error. I figured it might be a problem everyone is having, I can't seem to load the eqemu website, and #WR on EQEmulator IRC isn't working for me either.. if it's a problem I have, firewall, router etc.. i'd like to know, same goes if anyone else is having the same problem or solutions

Eqemu blew up....again. Wheres that dedicated login for wr we so desperately need....? :sadf:

thanks.. that's what I thought, but I was still messing around with my firewall.. now I can rest easy and play WR Offline! (check out the downloads section, very great game)
