listsend bug?

Lately i have been selling a lot of stuff via listsend and received very little pay. I only received the money if someone actually bought an item from my listsold, if i sent it, i didnt get the cash or the item back.

For example, i sent 2 stacks of rare crystal dust, ~10 diamonds, a stack of black sapphires, some jacinths, fire emeralds to Grizabella about 4 days ago, she confirmed that she received the items and i havent received any money for the sell.

Has anyone else noticed that or am i just paranoid weirdo?

This happened to me with two items. I petitioned and was told this sometimes happens in extreme cases. If more people post here, it may be a recurring bug that needs to be looked at. What happened with me is I sent the items and the other player never received them. That may be what is happening to you as well.

I noticed after buying some items through listsold for my pally that I had more money left over than I should have. Not sure if the seller got shorted or not but I don't think it took all my pp for whichever items got screwed up.

I seem to be receiving the cash for the items I send, but have recently had a problem with an item which was not picked up in time not being returned (I set it to an alt, so am sure it wasn't picked up). It has been a couple days since I logged the alt on only to not have any mail, so I was going to give it another day to see if it gets returned before petitioning...

Edit: I also noticed a problem with listsold and listbuy where it will list an item being sold in listsold, but when I try to listbuy it the system says the seller is not selling an item by that number. I listsold again, and it was still there. I logged in an alt, listsold, it was still there, but still wouldn't let me buy it.

Im not sure if Im getting all my money or not. I usually dont keep track of what should be coming back, right now Im short at least 1k, but I guess the person could be slow picking it up, sadly I dont remember who heh. I did notice listsolds being messed up for sure. I always check to see if my prices are set right and my alts listsold was showing items he no longer had. I tried moving items around in the bag to reset it and it just made it worse making double listings for some items. Later that day when I logged in it was all fixed on its own.

I *think* this is a known problem as it has been addressed in /ooc several times, but I am not sure if the adminstration is aware of this or not. You are definitely not the only one to have this problem.

There is also a problem with some people not being able to use their listsolds. When they price things and place them in, they just don't show up for some reason.

I believe this occurs when a player is using storage space in their player housing for their listsold. Griz explained it to me and I promptly forgot exactly what happens, but basically it's when your first character on the account has a bunch of stuff listsold from the house, it'll show up for other chars on that account when you /cm listsold them, but you can't purchase it from that character. You have to get it from the char who's actually listselling it.

I probably don't have that exactly right, but it should cover the general gist of it.

As for disappearing items that are listsent... well, sucks to be you guys =P

I'll probably stop using listsend until i figure out where is the problem. Lost a nice amount of cash, dont want to take more risks.

I had a similar problem that I'm petitioning at the moment, someone attempted to buy an Easy map off of my listsold and got the message "You can't buy something without a listed price!" (I had set a price) I received a note in my bank as if it had been sold (this might have been from another sold item), the map was gone, I received no money and the person didn't receive the map (I don't believe she lost any money).

It finally was returned last night. However, spells which I had sent to another character Saturday afternoon were not available for pickup on Monday night. Doesn't the receiver have 3 days to pick up listsent items?

Seems to be getting worse. I went shopping through "listsold next" tonight, and about 4 out of 5 items I tried to buy I got something like:

Code:
/cm listsold xxxx

 --Items sold by xxxx--
...
 #38: Spell: Frostflame - 300 platinum pieces.
...
Use /cm listbuy [name] [item #] to buy any of the above listed items.

/cm listbuy xxxx 38

xxxx is not selling any item #38.

/cm listsold xxxx

 --Items sold by xxxx-
...
 #38: Spell: Frostflame - 300 platinum pieces.
....
Use /cm listbuy [name] [item #] to buy any of the above listed items.

:(

Could we get a quick reply on this from a staff member? Just a quick "we are aware of the problem", items disappearing into the ether or not being able to be sold seems like a fairly big bug and it would put quite a few of us at ease to know it's being looked into.

It has always been the case in my experience that returned items take longer than you would expect. I advise petitioners to wait a full week after the item was initially sent to see if it is returned, before refunding items.

This has been my experience with returned mail as well... however, the problem (I think) you were referring to was not returned mail, but mail being available to the original destination.

I was feeling lazy the other night and sent a ration to one of my vendor alts for 1600p. I received the item notification on the vendor right away and accepted. After I did the /cm listaccept on the vendor I alt+tabbed to Malleus but didnt see a message. A /cm listget yielded the you dont have any money or items waiting message. I took screen captures in case there was an actual problem and logged off for the nite assuming it was possibly just a lag or batch processing type delay. My suspicions were correct. When I logged on the next day the plat was there waiting for me. Im not saying there are no problems, just reinforcing what Allielyn said about sometimes it takes longer than you might expect.

Have logs on. Take screen captures with /time stamps for good measure. Be patient, sometimes the process isnt instant.
