Lightweight food, drink, bandages

Might I make a suggestion?

Would it be possible to implement food, drink and bandages that weigh .1? Maybe have a drink that takes ~75 brewing skill that weighs .1. Food currently cannot be made, but maybe make something that is a meal or hearty meal or soemthing that weighs .1. Maybe costs 1gp a piece? Also, on live, a silk bandage weighs .1. Silk bandage = 3xspider silk in sewing kit. Maybe make the trivial ~75?

I'm aware of steak sandwiches (.3) and the medicine bag (.5 bandages). I was looking for something a little lighter.

There's a 2slot bag in mielech (not sure a or b) which has 80% weight reduction with 2 small slots and it's droppable, so you can probably find one yourself, or buy it cheap to hold food/water. As for the bandages, well, either deal with the merchant bag, OR ask your friendly neighborhood magician to summon you a 100% weight reduction pack and a few stacks of bandages every time you log on. More of a hassle, less weight.

Last time I checked, a plate with a steak, potato, and veggies weighed more than just a turkey sandwich. A hearty meal does more for you, but it should be at the price of weighing a bit more. If carrying around food is too much of a burden, then either you'll have to just not carry as much (resulting in more frequent trips to a supplier), get a weight reduction bag (your best option, in my opinion), or just not worry about it. I'm sure the last option doesn't appeal to you if you're a monk, as I suspect you probably are, but I think the weight of food is just fine.

i think

I think it if you incorporate this idea in to a trade skill it would be great. Making trade skill produced drink and fooder lighter helps to influence people to purchase said product. Regular merchant bought food should remain as is, but I think this is a great idea for player made items.

i have one almost smart a$$ almost serious reply to this. MRE's. 3000 calories and only weighs like .5 lbs. i'm not comparing this to real life. i'm comparing this to how WR is modeled. i don't see how making .1 meals that take a 100 baking or brewing skill makes anything out of balance. :)

Foraged Globes of Water by Druids / Rangers are 0 weight. Although if you don't have a druid or ranger handy, I can see the problem. I normally just keep a very low amount of food on me.

Unless it is different on WR, any item that stacks, cannot excede its weight in any number of 20 or less. That means that if 'Item X' is stackable and weighs in at .1........than having 3 of 'item X' gives you +.1 to your total weight and having 20 also gives you +.1 to your total weight. Even having just 1 would give you .1. Now, you would have to carry many stacks of items to have that much weight on you....really.
