So the answer is no, mages will not be able to use this item. It is a cleric only no drop.

No Hassan it will not be questable by a magician, and you won't be able to use the effect. End of story.

Incase anyone was wondering what lifeward is, its the shield with the neon lights on it that the crazy colored clerics carry around. As of now they have a ruin or forsaken tag, but that will change as people do this quest.

here's a road map to understanding...

Look for this fabled cleric item to return to Dalaya sometime in the near future. You might just find a way to locate it in the City of Athica, now that the city office is reconstructed.

Since this is no longer considered an 'epic', is it more along the the lines of the Shield of Freeport quest or more along the lines of the Ytrazliarch quest?
Also, even if it isn't considered by the staff to be an epic, it will always be regarded as such untill the new cleric epic comes out, if it ever does.
