Leveling around 25

I was just wondering if perhaps anyone could suggest somewhere to solo at level 25-28ish, (I'm a mage) i have been in the northern badlands at a bandit camp, but next level they will be going light blue to me and I have had no luck finding another place to solo; I have tried Yaralith, which I didnt like because I kept getting swarmed and dying, Fearstone, which is too low, Shrouded Isle, which I kept dying at, and Ruins of the First City, which didnt strike me as very good for soloing, seeing how it is always camped by groups. I am not averse to getting a good group and leveling like that, it is just that I do not usually play for extended lengths at a time and usually therefore solo. If anyone could suggest a place for me to solo at 25ish and up a few levels I would be very grateful.
 
First City Ruins are a good spot to hunt from 22-30 from what I have seen; today I got from 23-25 in about 3 hours while in a full group of some great guys and ladies. It was a fun experience and we had relatively little difficulty. So head there; you can find it by going to the Hole in Everquest off of old world Paniel. Hope that helps.
 
I see that you are looking for a soloing spot. However, the previous poster makes a good point about First Ruins. I leveled there a few times and it's just great. You can find groups there a lot (one of the few zones you can probably just show up and find a group). For soloing, though, I would say try outside of Paw. That area might be good until 30ish.

You can add Goblinskull Mountains for 25+ if you can stand the loneliness.
 
Ive been soloing in starfall lake around lvl 25/26. Goblins spawn other side of lake coming from south badlands. The melee types are pretty easy to root, dot, dd, etc. Just stay clear of the casters, they are a couple of lvls higher and nuke hard.
 
if memory serves after you hit 29 or so East Badlands turns into very nice exp

You may want to be a bit higher then 29 if you are solo since the mobs have a nice amount of HP and hit fairly hard. Just be careful what you can do and what not :)

Thanks for all the great replies, guys. I think I'll go try the First Ruins in a group and see how that treats me.
 
Warpstone with fire pet is fantastic. There are 3 tiers of Vulfwere (~17, ~21, ~25), and they are well separated. If you find the Raiders and Elders (~21), your fire pet can mow through the many double pulls around here. The 20% ZEM is also nice.
