Level 65 and Old Area Penalty

After grinding down some aa's in the same zones as I see alot of people in Mielc - FG - SG - Kedge - etc I've started to hit either no bonus or -10% penalty already with ~60aa's. I love the area bonus / penalties in the level grind 1-65. As it made our group try new zones and move from place to place. But at 65 your grinding in alot of the same zones day in and day out.

My request is to maybe do away with old area penalty at 65 or atleast make it alot more exp to from no penalty to -10%. Back in the old days there were a few more zones to exp in (i believe) and the penalties did not exist. Which is why some people are in the market of 300-600+ aa. I just don't see how this is feasible when after 6 months time i'll be -25% in quite a few of the zones with a decent Zem and difficulty.

I know there are zones like Everchill / Cmal / Catacombs etc where the Zem is good but either they are 1 group restricted or the difficulty is so high a random group could not begin to really grind there.

Just a request to have it looked at, I know you guys got plenty of other things are your platter.
 
You picked all the good zones to exp up to 65 with =P Save the high exp mods for AAs!

But random groups can do Cmal, Cata (meh, kinda) and Everchill just fine. There are also rats (and shade/bone dragons) in DN, trash in DHK, and Eldenals. The list goes on I'm sure. I seem to remember a post by Wiz about this topic saying you can get to 65 and over 200(I think?) AA without draining all of your new area bonus.
 
Yeah, I'm making it so area penalties (caused by levelling only, not by AAs) reset at 30, 50 and 65.

As part of this, everyone will have their old penalties removed with the patch that implements it.

ever thought about this solution:

i.e. charly grinded a lot in everchill and has -25% exp there. after grinding a lot in other zones (without ever going to everchill again) his exp penalty in everchill is changed to -10%. after grinding even more without exping in everchill, charly's exp penalty in everchill is completely reset to 0%. if charly would grind even more in other zones than everchill, then his exp penalty/bonus would still be 0%, because he can't get back his "new area bonus". charly can, however, get rid of the ugly -% exp penalty by exping in lots of different zones. that means: if charly grinds in lots of different places, then he can maintain 0% exp penalty/bonus.

that way it wouldn't be just a matter of time till all 65-characters have -25% exp everywhere. if you end up with -25% in (almost) all exp zones then the exp bonus/penalty system doesn't provide incentive any more to go to different dungeons and those people will just do the zone with the biggest zem. with the ability to get rid of exp penalties (not talking about getting back the bonus, just talking about getting rid of the penalty) by doing different dungeons, those people would have an incentive to do various different dungeons.

I like mr_g's idea either have penalties wear off from exp gained from other zones or maybe have the penalties wear off over a period of time(weeks/month) this way people will still want to move around but wont be penalized for playing the game for many months/years.
 
Or, if it's easier to implement, have the new area penalties wear off over time if you're 65, just like heat wears off over time.
