Let's expand the wiki page on Alignment!

On another note, I've recently added quest pages for Historian Fatin's Story and The Wounded Soldier in the Plane of Fire. However, I've heard that there are actually three alignment quests in this zone. Is there any truth to this?

It seems this is the case after all! The robed human right at the port-in dishes out some dialog that sounds very alignmenty. I believe it's only for a single LAWFUL/CHAOTIC shift, though I'll have to pay him another visit on a throwaway toon or two to verify this -- and to log it for the wiki.

(Am I the only one who is just learning of this?)

In addition to an old hermit at the zone-in, I am pretty sure also that in the Hakim city, not only does the Historian give an alignment choice but also possibly the trader in a building across from the Historian. I know for sure that the hakim trader gives the gate item quest, but I don't know if there is an alignment hit associated with it. Salah Shihab-dowleh for sure has one that seems to be a Lawful or Chaotic when he requests you get his gems back from Baanou Sima (my Althuna enchanter went from 18 to 19% spec answering this), who herself I believe may have an alignment choice related to killing her or not killing her to get the gems back (she's just past the 2nd city towards Guardian Mephit, in a building). My memory is a bit hazy on that one. These aren't all really "quests" but just sort of one-time one-off dialogue choices.

That stopped being true long ago, when the fence was changed to not give chaotic alignment hits on every turn in. Bard/rogue only have a light edge in that department now.

I am fairly certain it's still unlimited. Source: Me taking this character from Neutral/Neutral 0% deity spec to 11% deity spec almost entirely on fence turn-ins, few months ago. I will test it sometime later to see if I can get more deity spec by fencing more items, but I'm certain I've gotten more than the supposed max 5% towards spec that people who've said this has been changed claimed was possible.

I think Xardon Wears the final aug in Charm slot

Sateru I believe was the first and is also wearing the caster version of the aug whereas Xardon has what seems to be the tank version, and Feth with the "hybrid" one. It's a very good aug and for any class that doesn't have must have loot in ToT seems like it would be a great choice.

3) Does The High Price of Knowledge yield any Good shifts?

I believe I got around 2 or 3% of spec bonus in good hits from doing the entire quest. All of them seemed to be automatic like when doing quests for Silver Crown/Blackscale/Council of Innovation. Also as a note the final event was didn't seem very Neutral Good to me!

Just confirmed by gaining 2% more chaotic spec bonus by fencing more items.

My bard got Shiritri to 20% in a few hours of stealing, I had no idea getting the 20% bonus was actually a challenge. Not sure when it was changed but I got at least 10% from fencing.

Regarding the Tarhyl questline, thanks for the info and Fomelo links. I'm positive after going through a bit of dialog last night on my new Tarhyl toon that this questline is chock-full of alignment shifts for both CHAOTIC and EVIL. The dialog with Ansaag is actually really funny! It's a shame I didn't think to turn my log on before going through it.

I've sifted through the trader's dialog a couple of times to no avail. I'm pretty sure none of the dialog branches lead to any alignment shifts, though it's possible something might come along upon turning in the quest items for the gate clicky. As for Salah, I've yet to test out any of this dialog, mainly because I cannot seem to find her up. I'll keep this in mind nonetheless.

Grinkles, can you do an average deity spec for each deity. I am too lazy.

That would be... impractical at best, though I would be interested to see how that would look. Maybe I can think of a way to do it by limiting it to 65s. In the mean time, I've been thinking of some other stats to look at with deity choice and alignment, but I simply haven't put myself to the task yet.

Finally, I'd like to point out that the wiki page on Alignment has undergone yet another overhaul, including a new opening, new sections on "Degrees of Alignment" (as suggested by taosanterior) and "Alignment and Deities," and numbered lists under each subsection of Quests. I've also done my best to condense and tweak the walls of text under the "Alignment Definitions" section, so if any of you see something missing or can think of another way to streamline these paragraphs, do speak up!

Oh, if only I could send a message to my old self three years ago and tell myself to pledge Shiritri despite the naysayers! :( Even if she hates my guts, I'll still be her little CHAOTIC NEUTRAL Divine Light admirer from afar 'til the day I die...

Or, if Kristalogy proves true, 'til the day I am reincarnated via Gnomish bubblebirth!
