Legend of Drunken Master - A style idea

Was watching "The Legend of Drunken Master" and I had a vision-

Here's the idea:

A style implemented in the form of Drunken Boxing, the character will have to have these requirments:

1. Have 200 Alchohol Tolerance
2. Have 100 Hand to Hand skill (Meaning not just Monks can do this)
3. Have 20 of some type of Alchohol on them(though maybe certain Alchoholic Beverages give different stats to Drunken Boxing? Ooh theres another Idea!)

Now the style, when activated, will do this:

-Player Consumes an Insane amount of Alchohol! (Use 20 Alchoholic Drinks from Inventory)
-Players STR, DEX, CON are all raised (Exact stat increase TBD)
-Player takes the stance of Drunken Boxing
-Tunnel Vision to the max
-The effect takes place for a TBD time
-Evade and Hit % chance are all increased as well, due to the fact the stance is so disrupting to an enemy perception of what his opponet (the Drunken Boxer) is going to do.

EDIT: Another perk I thought about, is a random proc.

Since Drunken Boxing does involved lots of flailing around and random pokes and punches or kicks to the eyes, arms, and legs, there should be a random proc of Blindness, snare, or a "knockdown" which is technically a root.


Now the side effect:

Hangover

-ALL stats are decreased for a TBD time (defiently longer than the Drunken Style Boxing effect to add balance)
-Minor tunnel vision (to the point where you still cant scroll out to a 3rd person view or maybe a bit more)
-Evade and Hit % chance are all decreased as well, due to the fact the Drunken Boxer is having a HORRID headache.

Also, maybe the introduction of Asprin that can be bought or made by Alchemists or Brewers of a high level? That could decrease minorly the effects of the Hangover. Maybe even the drink "Prarie Oyster" could do the same thing? (My tribute to Cowboy Bebop. If you dont know Cowboy Bebop you wont know that joke, he he)

Anyways, dunno if this can be implemented, but damn it would rock to try.

Proc *Your target is hit by projectile vomit for 60 dmg*

Proc *Your target slips on your drool for 30 Dmg*

Proc *Your target is stunned from your dog breath*

Proc *You lose control of your bladder sustaining 20 Dmg*

Proc *Your target is stunned at your ability to stand! for 5 Dmg*

The style of Drunken Boxing is that of looking LIKE you are drunk yes, but BEING drunk while at it gives you added power. Thats why the insane Alchohol Tolerance and the stack of booze. Otherwise this would be something anyone would do at any time whenever they wanted, which would defeat the point of actually pursuing becoming a "Master" and just be another style someone could activate.

I wasn't doing this to be funny either, I seriously think that implementing some hard to acheive fighting styles, unlike the ones when you just do /style 2 or whatever which only have a lvl requirement, these styles would have a different requirement and thus something to shoot for. Plus think of all the money that would be put back into the market from the amount of booze people would buy to get this?

No. Trying to drunken box while actually drunk will result in you getting smacked the hell out of you and nothing else.
 
I would hazard a guess that the real reason behind this style is to covertly hide a well known addictive condition.

Next will be the "Drunken SoD 2 boxing" challenge.

How about all casters must cross dress in RL - that is if they don't already :p

Exactly. Watch "The Legend of Drunken Master" and sure he gets hit a bunch, but he also advoids a ton more as well.

Getting drunk and challenging someone to a fight is NOT "Drunken Boxing"

Love it

I love the Idea of this Style...I would want to try and achive it. I think it woudl be good to make styles liek this where you have to earn them....its like a quest to further develope your character rather then just getting Items, adds a whole new level of customization and roleplaying in my mind Great Idea!!!!
 
Not true, I win a lot of fights after a hard night of drinking. My mom used to call me her own little drunken bastard child fighting martial arts master.
 
He he, well I dunno what needs to happen for a GM or Developer to actually read this to consider it, but lets keep at it to get ideas like this in!
