Lake Starfall quest rewards

I think 20/29 is pretty nice for a warrior as a 2hander of that lvl. If they were 1hander it will be epic scale for a 1hander, keep in mind that the best ratio 1handers are reserved for knights who cant dual wield. The proc on it is a nice touch too, a bit low on ac and HP, but has the sta and str to make up for.

i was not saying that it was not a good weapon as a matter of fact i think it rox out, i was just saying that i was disapointed to find it was a 2 hander...and if it was a 1 hander i would not expect it to have the same stats as it dose now, that would be ....well rediculouse....

As a necro I'm pretty unimpressed with the Liber Bubonicus reward. I just can't get excited about the affliction focus. Maybe this will change when I get venom of the snake (I'm level 33), but I find that dots are pretty much useless in groups. It is simply much more efficient to use nukes because the mobs die so quickly at this level.

If I liked soloing it'd be great, but I almost always prefer to group.

The reward makes sense as far as class mechanics and such go, but I think it might be more effective to use the time that it'd take to do the quest and just level instead... especially with the abundance of mages and summoned ft staves.

Has anyone done the Clerics helmet quest yet? I'd like to see the stats on that. The gauntlets of faith are nice for a cleric. Casting speed increment is what really makes this worthwhile. But shouldn't there be at least a small increase in wisdom on those? Thats one of the primary stats for a cleric. THat would be like the enc quest item not having any cha, or the wiz/mage rewards not having any int. Not complaining, just curious. Maybe the stats on the helmet make up for it?

Great job on the quests btw. I appreciate all the effort the designers and programmers put into these new ones.

I imagine that's more a symptom of doing a quest without the stats on the reward than a problem with the item. While you personally don't dot much, a great big pile of necros would come out of the woodwork and scream bloody murder if the affliction were removed. Companion Strength is easily available and companion health is even easier to get, so that leaves aff focus as probably the best one you can expect on the primary.

It's really too bad that so many people are complaining about their starfall quest rewards--it's making it very hard to tell which are and aren't good. The quests are nowhere near all the same difficulty either, and whether or not they're still worth doing for the upgrade is heavily dependant on the ratio of difficulty in the quest to usefullness of the item.

For example, you got this at 33, but I've been working on my starfall quests since I hit 30, I'm currently 48, and I'm still not done with the bracer. I'm reserving judgement until I get it--I already know the stats, but I won't know how hard the quest is until I finish it. Even then I'll probably hold my peace a while. The grass is always greener on the other side, and I don't have any special immunity to starfall envy.

Maybe if we had a poll thread where people could vote on the best and the worst starfall reward, with the limitation that they couldn't vote for their own class's reward in either category?

The quest reward itself is a good one and makes complete sense as far as the class mechanics go. I suppose my real "complaint" is about the viability of necro dots in groups before level 34.

From what I've seen, and with my lack of knowledge on what you can get at about that same level all of the starfall items, look like they're pretty nice. Maybe some of them don't seem as great as what's dropped by adept mobs (I got affliction enhancement III on a head piece from the Spectral Hunter the other night at level 25) but for mid level quests that can be soloed if you do it right I think they're all worthwhile.

Really? What are the stats? Is it no drop, and would you be interested in selling it?

Thank you wiz for upgrading the necro starfall eyes, they rock now. A better item than the upgraded version droped from the kiwisis while I was trying to get a piece for the eyes (veil of seafoam, wis4 cha4 int4 or somethign like that). Now that the eye is upgraded, its better than the veil :) cheers.

For those of you who wish your item was as cool as the mage wand, please remember that the mage wand is much harder to get. I can solo all the pieces for the necro items as a lvl 36,37 necro (plan on getting the last two items I need in the near future now that spawns are fixed) My friend is a lvl 47 mage, and cannot get his drop from everchill without someone to either single pull or run crowd control while he kills the orcs. So for all of you whiners, just be glad you dont have to kill orcs in everchill for your item.

I guess all I really wanna say is the starfall quests rock, and thanks to everyone thats helped me find the spawns along the way :) I love you all.
