Lacking droppable itemisation for 55+ dungeons..

I've noticed since I made 65 that I only very very rarely have a droppable item drop in a dungeon, and almost every time one has its been a weapon that's only good for selling to level 40's and such..

I've been trying for 5 days to buy something better than my Soft Leather Belt and my Spider Fur Cape in auction and scouring vendors in 2 cities, there hasn't been a single offer even if I mention paying figures in the k's of PP in my auction at peak times.

I know quest armour and raid loot is for 65's but for casual players or people making platinum WR seems to be severely lacking in level 55+ Required Level loot.

I'd like to see more common nameds with drops (no more weapons!) in dungeons for 55+ with a high required level and stats that are sub-raid level to boost the high level economy because at the moment it seems dead and all I do with my PP is put it back into jewlcrafting (or I could save for a charm..)

I actually think this lack is one of the nice things about WR. In EQ, there was so much twinkage, it was sick. And every move they made to counter it (TLC, Recommended/Required levels) got folks in an uproar. They did the whole favor point thing, but that was nerfed to oblivion, and just promoted more pharming phat lewt anyway.

Yeah but droppable loot with required levels of 55+ means they're not going to use it to twink. I LIKE the fact that WR has required levels on some stuff that's way powerful.

I also liek that there are items with no level req. so you can make a new character and give him/her some nice stuff to start out with. Why not? You did your time with your other character, so if you want to twink a new pc, feel free. :)

I agree with Maimai though...I don't see much in the way of "high end" items being sold aside from weapons.

i agree with you whole heartedly.. Especially when i go in a zone like Red sun mines and they drop craptacular NO DROP weapons you need level 35 for..

Unfortunately we'll probably get the "don't like the loot? Go hunt somewhere else" type response . :p

I've found that, as well. There's almost no droppable loot that I could buy for either of my characters, so I generally don't bother looking anymore. I would love for droppable stuff in dungeons that actually give me experience, so that I could go get items without a full raid force (or buy them, for that matter). It seems that whenever I do get something from a named, it's pretty shitty (if it's droppable) and thus not useful to me.

Higher-end droppable loot was one thing I loved about GoD. I still remember going high-stakes charm soloing in riwwi. Dedgerex's Flintforged Cudgel reprazent!

But yeah, seconding the request for high required level droppable gear from rowdy nameds in rowdy zones.

WR does not lack high end droppable loot.

It lacks players that dare to hunt outside Dragon Necropolis.

Every player on WR?

I havent even had a DN group yet, I've been hunting in mielc and cmalath (great itemisation but all no drop - post was about economy) and red sun mines and such..

Look at Maimai's Wangelo and go to south newport and check every vendor for upgrades, there will be very very few if any that arent from lowbie zones or raid encounters..

cmalath, the blight, west wastes, red sun mines, level 30 crap loot in wispering forest (same crap loot table from kaladim mobs off LB gnolls..crap loot at 65 anyways.. Nothing on shadows, not even plats).

Altho, while trying to help a friend find some SK/Dragonhorn quest armor in Dragon necropolis i got a slime covered helmet.. look! droppable loot

:p

Red Sun Mines has something like 20 named mobs, and Mielech B similar. Between them, that's 50+ pieces of droppable loot.

I've cleared out disco and chef area in mielc a few times and only seen the experimental axe (item for level 40-50s i guess) and some spear with 100 mana on it that looked nice for bst drop.. the efretti lord in RSM had nice drops, but one of them was a weapon too (a really fast short range bow) and also got a weapon off a golem there which i sold to a 40ish monk for 300pp or something..

Mielb lord and old frenzy area cleared a few times, we got a manslayer shuirken for our efforts :p edit: oh and a no drop 2hb that the warrior didnt want

It just seems like the the 65's economy is dead because these 50 pieces of loot aren't ending up on sale anywhere, would really like to see drop rate increased and required levels added so it didnt mess up the low levels..

Also the slime covered helmet is a newbie item because almost every vendor is selling one and not for much :p

Drop rates isn't an issue. Look at the items from the popular dungeons like DN. They're all over the place.

Well there must be a way to encourage more players to hunt in these zones then, other than sonys "people are stupid, we need to give them several ways to find a group and clicky stones to drop them right into an exp spot with no corpse runs or they wont go there" tactic..

I just had another scan of the vendors while looking for a belt or cloak upgrade, nothing there I can use, I suppose ill just have to wait for raid drops for my upgrades.

There's incentive to go into one of the more dangerous exp dungeons right now, and more will be coming eventually. That's all I'm going to say so I don't spoil things.

i used to farm mielech c all the time, tons of droppable loot there.

Is like 4 or 5 named you can take while in dining area, same w/ disco and same w/ crypt.

All drop some pretty good droppable items. Even elds has some great droppable loot if you leave the zone in and go to the castle.

Just camping inside the castle i got a few of the droppable items oifer is wearing now.

And suddenly me and every other enchanter who loves to go big game hunting starts to dream of finding and massacring those nameds, after charming them and using them to beat the christ out of all their friends.

Bringing a new droppable item to market, when you're the only one who has it, ought to be reason enough.
