Lack of Affliction Items

I have been looking and looking for a decent affliction item, but I have never come across one, and I do not know anyone with one.

Yes, I know there are affliction 1 and 2, and the very rare affliction 3, but I am not going to take off a high-end item to put on a newbie item and lose mana/stats etc is not worth it. I have seen lots of casting speed, damage, healing, mana conservation etc, all at level 5 or even 6, but NO affliction.

Now as a Necro Dots is our life. We don’t have an affliction AA :sadf: (would love it if we did) so I am wondering where these items are, and why are they so rare compared to other class enhancement items. In addition, why if the item has affliction on it do the stats suck?

If anyone has a high-end item, can you please link it for me?

Yeah my shaman looked around and I saw Hammerfang's Eye for sale ONCE on a vendor (but didn't have the money at the time to buy it). That's the ONLY one I have personally seen. Kind of a bummer really. I wouldn't mind having one as well. Hell I'd take a level 1 or 2 if I could find them. :-/
 
Hmm, did not know about the mittens. I knew about the eye, and like i said the stats suck. The mittens are not that great either.

These items are cool for lower levels or people non raid geared. Example here is the problem, am i going to wear those gloves or the ones im wearing now?

I guess the point i'm trying to get across is the lack of the items, and the really weak stats on them when you do find one.

I used my gloves as an example for me!, if you check the Wanelo on Ruin necros (Lulu, Kelity) most of us have far better then the mittens stats wise. and i was talking the higher end game for an affliction item. yes i think the eye and gloves are great for a lower person, but not for the higher end game Necro.

there is the cmal 3-2 range item from simulcrums that is range slot affliction 3 with absolutely no stats on it.
 
It's a viable tradeoff: Better stats and less damage from DoTS or less stats and more damage from DoTs. I think the tradeoff is fine but I do agree that there does not seem to be many Affliction items floating around.
 
I can't even get my hands on a Hammerfang's Eye, and the new necro quest book with horrible stats but affliction 3 seems broken atm.
 
meh the wand is ok, his other 2 items are better...riyel...he's our favorite mage in teh whole wide worldssss
 
I've been addressing this, the reason you don't notice it is because you're refusing to budge from the same old zones all the time.

In other words, you are your own problem. There are multiple affliction items in Kedge Keep, Red Sun Mines, etc, that are essentially just up for grabs. You could probably get a Hammerfang's Eye in an hour or two of soloing, but no, it's so much easier to /auction and whine that there's no items.
 
I have no desire to /Auction for items. Also if it was an affliction 4 or 5 item, I’ll bet its No Drop anyways.

I am not whining, I stated I was looking for a DECENT affliction item and that I have not seen any.

The other point I made was that the items I have seen have weak stats on them.

I have been in the zones you have mentioned and I have not seen these items. Those zones also need a solid group. Guess I will have to drag some guildies into these zones to see what we can find.

Yeah Raherin I hear yeah, I to have the same problem. I would not lose my range slot item for the Eye either.

P.S. I sit in the same zones when I solo; exp is reasonable and safe. (Typically no loot just exp)

You can do the rotbringer quest (it took me about 4 hours to do it)
it rewards a Affliction 2 scythe.. not horrible, decent stats for a level 40ish item..
Only thing i hate about it is that its a 2handed item..

Go see the guy in the hermit hut in Sbadlands , he starts the quest.

BTW it would not have taken me as long to do the quest, but that day WIZ was playing with the whole night/day thing over and over and over again, and one of the mobs that drops a quest item only spawns at night.
