Ok I installed eq and SoD on 2 computers. 1 of the 2 work fine, but on the second as soon as I hit the char select screen the keyboard doesn't work. I can log in by using the mouse but nothing on the keyboard works so I end up Ctrl Alt Delete out.
I have switched out keyboards, both work fine outside of game and I can type in the password at log in screen. I have tried hitting all buttons separate and several combination of buttons while in game. I have tried moving the screen around. I have tried playing in Full screen. I have re installed the game. I have searched the forums and asked online in game to see if anyone else had problem(logged on different computer to ask) I can't seem to find the answers I need. I have played SoD on this computer in the past but now I am having this issue. It seems this happens when you box every once in awhile but This issue is constant. The first time My brother logged in it worked until he logged into beginner zone and after he walked for a second it locked up. Mouse works fine and screen doesn't freeze, just keyboard doesn't work.
It is windows XP home
it isn't a beast of a machine by no means. my brother has played wow, dragon age: origins, Runes of magic and so on with it.
If there is a post I missed ( I doubt) please direct me towards it
any suggestions would be helpful
My brother said he had the first char logged in and was trying to get his box up and thats when the keys locked up. On my computer it usually works if I exit the box that is locked up then log in. but his stayed locked
