You've got 5 guys sharing one wireless router?
I think we've stumbled across the problem.
But you ignored my suggestion. I wasn't suggesting running a cable to the router LONG TERM. I was saying run it to the router long enough test if you can connect without 1017's.
You can get a cat5 cable and put connectors on it pretty cheaply. I had to do it when I ran cat5 through my house. (mythtv box in the living room, 2 computers in the basement, router and computer in a converted bedroom.) It's not rocket science, and I'm *not* handy with tools.
Home Depot sells the cable really cheaply, per foot, and the connectors too. $5 for the crimping tool.
But if you really don't want to run a long cable to the router from your computer, MOVE YOUR COMPUTER!
I hadn't even suggested that you have to keep your computer wherever it is to test it. The important thing to test is that it's not the WIRELESS that causing the problem.
And no, no one here wants to read your logs to figure out your problem if you can't meet us halfway.
Ok, ok, my humble apologies for acting seemingly lazy. I appreciate all the help you've given me, possibly above and beyond what could be expected for people working for free. I merely thought that I could give you my IP and account info, and there would be some easy log to say "xxx tried to log in but x".
I'll find a way to get it hooked up via ethernet to the modem and test it, and if the wireless is the issue, I guess SoD and I were never meant to be. If not, you'll hear from me again. :3
