Kedgewater

Is there any chance of increasing the drop of kedgewater? Nothing to major. Just a little more common than 1 out of a 1000 kills. A couple of guildies have been hunting there last week and haven't seen one drop. I know it's an important item in brewing but a slight drop rate would be nice.

From what I understand, mobs further in have a higher chance to drop it. :toot:

it's really not nearly as rare as you're making it sound, even soloing the entrance mobs i get more than 1/1000 and you can even forage the stuff.

Aye, its not super rare or anything.

Just the normal RNG PMSing...

Been in there before for 2 hours without seeing a single one drop.. other times in less then 30 minutes will get 4-5 of them to drop.

The ones deeper definitely seem to drop it more often then zone in trash.

At least it's not as bad as mystic ash :toot: I've heard good streaks of a few stacks in 5 hours time for kedge water. Unless my luck has been truly truly shitty for ash, I'm seeing one-two ash tops per hour for my hhk groups. I'm feeling Mal's alchemy pains.

I usually get anywhere from about 15 to 40 ashes in an average of 2.5-3 hours in HK clearing floors 1, 2, and part of 3.

Then you sir have a hell of a lot more luck than I. I've been doing up to Royals(4th floor I think?) and just started on Basement recently. I'm not sure what where has the best drop rates but my groups are pretty constant killing with nada to show for the effort ash wise. MieC isn't any better but it's my duo spot for when I don't have the force for hhk.

I suppose killing the hardest stuff isn't exactly the best for ash per hour take in but eh I guess I'll take it for the sake of exp. I'm in no real hurry to max alchemy, I'm just doing it so I can stop buying everyone else's body potions and success rate is moderate even at 230 alchemy.
